First time booking DVC

We will be booking in 11 days for our first DVC vacation as owners st Animal Kingdom. We will be staying for 12-14 nights if we can do a split stay but I have a couple of questions.

When I book i know that I can only book for 7 nights. So September 10th I book that on September 11th can I book the 8th night and so forth until I get to 12 nights?

We hope to be able to do a split stay. 3 or 4 nights at Kidani and then switch to OKW and extend our vacation to 14 nights. Are the odds of us getting a 2 bedroom at OKW somewhat good at the 7 month window for about August 14th? At the 7 month window is it the same book for 7 nights then keep calling to add a night?

At OKW we always took our garbage out even though we were staying in a cash room if it was over flowing that day. Is there some place at Kidani where we can take our garbage out daily or a couple times we will have a 8-9 month old and stinky diapers this trip and don't want it sitting there for 4 days.

At Kidani are there 2 bedroom villas savannah view that are closer to the lobby on Jambo side? That is my children's only request and they know that they very well could be let down.

Your odds of getting a 2 bedroom at OKW for August at 7 months are very good. The odds for getting one at AKV-Kidani at 11 months are 100%.

My advice is to book the 3 or 4 nights you intend to keep at Kidani and then wait for the 11 month window to open to book the last nights (at Kidani) that you plan to change to OKW. That way you will have a back up at Kidani and it will be easier to switch to OKW when the 7 month window opens.

There are trash rooms all over the place at every DVC resort. Usually one on each floor of single buildings or one in each building for the condo style like OKW/SSR. You should have empty trash bags in the bottom of the trash can.

You either need to book a day at a time or wait and book the 2nd reservation later.

IMO you have a good chance if getting your OKW reservation.

All DVC resorts have trash rooms.
