First time at Windsor Hills and enjoying it immensely!

The one warning I'd give to anybody staying at WH, if there is any mechanical issue with your unit it may take a long time for somebody to come look at it. And if there is an issue with your neighbors unit (In this instance the unit next to us had a heater vent that was loose and made a horrible noise) there is nothing you can do about it.

I will be there for the first time in march. We rent a 3 bedroom condo.

Which one is the closest Walmart or Super Target?

Someone know if there are a Costco near of WH?

Which road did you take to go at Disney from WH?

Super Target is closer, we went to a Costco but it seemed quite far from WH, (2101 Water Bridge Blvd
Orlando) and you can take the Sherberth Road shortcut to Disney, it is easy and there are many posts that I found with the exact directions, very easy to get around.

Target is the closest and there's a Publix grocery store across from Target at Orange Lake. The Costco is miles away in the John Young Parkway area.

Windsor Hills is #1 Target is #134 and that Publix is #20 . There's also a new Publix #178 which is a right turn out of WH and down Old Lake Wilson Rd to the lights. It's just across the intersection. You'll encounter less traffic going to this one.

I had never been to one before either as there are none near where I live. I was pleasantly surprised by the low prices and variety of groceries to choose from. We stocked up on fresh fruit, yogurt, oj, milk, snacks, string cheese etc. I now wish I had one near me. :goodvibes
The best part was I had collected Target gift cards from my local regular Target to use on the trip so I already had $75 in g.c. to use towards our groceries.;)

Thanks so much for the heads up. I love being able to put away a little here and a little there and some Target gift cards sound like a great way to do that.

More questions...
I know I should pack my own laundry soap and toiletries but what about stuff like dish soap and dishwasher soap? Sorry if this is a dumb question :rolleyes1

Actually, the amount of time you have to wait to have a mechanical issue (or any issue) addressed is totally dependent on the management company. Some are very responsive, some are not at all. Florida Sun Vacation Homes was our management company the last time we rented in WH. We had two minor issues the day we checked in, and they responded immediately to correct everything.

I would agree with not being able to do much about someone's unit attached to yours. We usually rent a 4 BR home, though, so that hasn't been a problem for us.

We went to that Publix on Old Lake Wilson Road and found any items that weren't on sale to be pretty pricey and we thought that they didn't have as much variety of groceries to chose from compared to the SuperTarget.
We do love the Papa Johns that's next to it though!

I had also earned some of my g.c. through mypoints.com!
As far as dishwasher soap and such every place we have stayed had it there for us to use. The place you rent from should tell you in their guidelines/contract what supplies are there for your to use. If not I would not hesitate to ask the owner/management company.:goodvibes
Also, we usually do bring extra trash bags!;)
