Hi,

We are going June12-20 for my 41st b-day and my parents 50th anniversary ( on the same day) We usually ho in October and stay at the BCV because of the F&W festival. I have requested a high floor and water view. Did I o the right thing?

We do not like to be on the ground floor and really like to be near the pool or at least see some water. What are the general feelings about this resort and does anyone have suggestions for us.

Thanks for any info you can provide:wizard:

I would ask for a high floor with a pool or lake view. Since VWL is a very woodsy area, there are lots of high trees so most are woods views. There are a few pool and lake views, but there will still be trees.

It is a beautiful resort. The lobby of the WL is awesome. It is not as convenient as staying at BC, but it it has a very nice feel to it.

Nah, too easy.

Anyway... about 90% of the rooms at VWL have a view that is primarily trees. About 40% of those have views where you can see bits of Bay Lake through the trees.

I love VWL, but if seeing water from your room is a *must*, it's not the best choice. Requests to be on the lake-side are usually (but not always) met, but as I said, it's not a great water view. You can always request pool view, but there just aren't that many rooms so you have to get lucky.

We stayed at VWL last Oct and had a quiet pool view - although it was nice - I can't imagine a view of those trees - feeling like you are high in the mountains - would not be better!! I think you will enjoy VWL but as already said since VWL is a small resort - if water view is a must try SSR!!!!

I think you made good requests for your stay there. That is what we always request and have always gotten it, except for our visit two weeks ago, and I suspect that is because we did the online check-in.

You will love VWL, the atmosphere is so different, you will never believe you are in Central Florida. Take advantage of exploring the Lodge, and we like to bike or take the boat over to Fort Wilderness.

Have a great time!
