First time at GFV - can we request a monorail view?

Booked at 2 bed standard view and we're going with friends who are very big monorail fans, I've seen some SV photos and in some you can see the monorail, is it possible to request a monorail view does anyone know please?

You can't specifically request that, however, most (maybe all?) standard view rooms have a monorail view. We have stayed there 5 times in a 2 bedroom and each room had a view of the monorail. I would request an upper floor room and that will make sure it will be a good view of it. We stayed ground level once and did not enjoy it as much as sitting out on an upper level balcony with the better views.

MS can add a note to your reservation that requests a view of the monorail. You'll have to call, chat or email, though, because online check-in doesn't have that option. If you get MS to add the note, then be sure to skip the portion of online check-in that asks about requests. If you check or type anything on that page, it will overwrite anything MS did for you.

The only rooms with standard view that do not have monorail view have a direct view of the Magic Kingdom fireworks, which is quite magical. There is only 1 of these (1 lockoff, 1 2BR) on each floor, so it is rare that you get this view. I would concentrate on asking for an upper floor, unless someone in your party needs the lower floor.
