Hey all! I'm staying my first time at BLT at the end of next month. I just bought into DVC and I'm swapping a cash stay booked pre-DVC for a Deluxe Studio. The notice is fairly short (end of August) and the only available studios were at SSR, OKW, AKL-K, and BLT, so I thought I'd give BLT a try, even though it's a bit more points than the others.

Is there any special request I should make on the reservation? I'll be going into MK for a MNSSHP one night and into HS for After Hours the other, so I'm not as worried about a Fireworks view or anything. I'm mostly just excited to give it a visit but thought I'd ask in case there's anything specific I might be missing out on. Oh, and is there anything I should check out at BLT during the day?

Thanks!

The fireworks view is amazing so try to catch it from your villa. BLT is a pretty boring resort IMO if not for the great proximity to MK. Steakhouse71 is an excellent choice for any meal.

Enjoy!

You don't want the fifth floor room ending in 30. That's in direct view of the sky bridge. You'll spend the whole trip with your shades drawn. I normally ask for a high floor to get the least parking lot and tree tops and the most theme park.

While at Steakhouse 71, order the massive piece of chocolate cake (feeds two). You'll thank me.

I was disappointed that they got rid of the vanilla and chocolate creme brûlée. The cake is good, but not as good as Gideon's cake, IMHO...

You should request high floor through Member Services. The view from the lower floor theme park view rooms is of a large parking lot and a monorail track. Best are floors 8 and above.

I agree, request a high floor. Also, you're going to love being able to walk back to your room after MNSSHP while everyone else is waiting for a boat/bus/monorail.

Book Top of the World Lounge Villians Lair. Not sure though if it s a blue card extra only.

But even if you don’t book the dining, there is the viewing deck for fireworks or day time photos.

Steakhouse 71 as others have mentioned. Also in the Contemporary Chef Mickeys for a character meal or California Kitchen.

On some evenings BLT will have a fire pit going for s’mores. S’mores provided.

Welcome home!
