First time at BCV - have questions

I've been a DVC member for many years and my first trip to BCV is coming up next month and I have a few questions.

Is there a dedicated check-in for DVC? Is it in the main lobby or in the villas? If in the villas, where is the best place to park for check-in and do they have luggage carts there?

I seem to remember an issue with the thermostats at BCV when it first opened. I don't really recall what the issue was, but has it been fixed?

What is the Epcot/MGM boat route? Is it Epcot, BC, BW, and then MGM?

When I got the call from MS that my waitlist came through, the only requests I could think of were an upper floor and an Epcot view. Should I add anything to that? We are staying in a 2-bedroom lockoff.

Any other BC tips would be appreciated! We have visited the resort many times and I'm very happy to have the chance to stay there.

There is a new dedicated checkin for the villas in the villas lobby but the hours are limited to 8am-6pm I believe. Any other time, checkin is in the BC lobby.

No luggage carts. If you want to handle the luggage yourself, after going through security, take a left right before the little bridge and follow to the end for BCV parking. If you wish bell services to handle your bags, proceed over the bridge to the BC.

We've seldom had to worry about the thermostat at BCV. But if you do have problems, just do the over ride that is also necesary at most deluxe WDW resorts now in our experience. Or call maintenance for help. But we were just there a few weeks ago. It was very warm outside IMO but we had absolutely no problems in the villa.

Friendship boats go Epcot>BW>Y&BC>S/D>DHS and then just reverse on the way back.

I think your requests are general enough that you have a good chance of getting them. Have fun and congratulations! We're still hoping for a waitlist to come through for the end of this month. Trying not to give up hope!
