First Stay at DVC Poly, what room should I request?

We will be at Poly for 2 nights in Jan for daughters 25th birthday. What room request should we make?

I liked having a ground floor room, as we didn't have to wait for an elevator, & therefore made going back and forth to the pool & lodge that much faster. We also had a lovely garden-view patio that you could exit the room from.

What category do you have booked? For lake-view, you really want to request a high floor if you want to see the lake and fireworks.
