Hi Everyone,

We just booked our first split stay, I am a little nervous about changing resorts but also very excited that we got 4 nights club level at AKL and 5 nights MK view at BLT:banana:

Is it a fairly easy process to get luggage over to the 2nd resort? Is there a fee to do this?

Also would love any opinions of AKL club level you may have.

Thanks everyone!

Bell Services will move your luggage for you. You will need to either take your luggage to the bell stand or call for a porter. If you call for a porter to pickup, you will need to be in your room when they arrive and a gratuity would be expected. They only move luggage between resorts once a day around 3pm, so don't expect to have them until 4pm at the new resort. At the new resort you can pickup from the bell stand or call to have them delivered. Just like with pickup, a gratuity would be expected on delivery.

We did this exact thing in October, 5 Adults in a 2 BR. We stayed three night at Kidani and then we stayed our last three nights at the BLT. The night before check out at Kidani I called bell services and set them up to pick up our luggage at 9:30 am. They showed up right on time. We then headed to Boma for brunch at 10:00 am. After brunch we took the bus to the MK and then the monorail over to the Contemporary. We checked in around noon and we were lucky enough to have our room ready. We called bell services at the BLT and let them know our luggage was comming over from Kidani and they delivered our luggage at 4:00 PM.

We did tip $20 dollars at Kidani and then we tipped $20 dollars at the BLT. Both cast members at each resort were so helpful. The BLT cast member was extremely helpful. He made sure we had our ice machine running in the freezer (we did). He actually asked what bags went to what rooms and put the bags in the correct rooms and then he offered to overide the thermostat in the room for us so it wasn't on the motion sensor but we said we didn't need it done.

We also had quite a bit of food from the fridge at Kidani that we needed moved and everything was cold when it arrived to the BLT.

I am not sure if you planned your park days yet but this is what I planned when we did our split stay. I decided while we stayed at Kidani we would only go to the AK and DHS because it didn't matter what resort we were staying at we would have to take the bus to these two parks. Then while we were at the BLT we would only go to the MK and Epcot since it would be the Monorail and only the Monorail while at the BLT.:thumbsup2
