first split stay ever! help!

we did a split in april. after i booked it was cheaper to tack one nite on in the long run. we checked into asmovies on april 15 and out on the 16th. for us it wasn't that bad, altho a cm told my ta one thing and they did another. i suggest what you do is online check in ten days before you leave for blt. then the morning you check out, you need to call luggage assistance and have them transfer the luggage(with us they said they might do it!). they will come and collect it. now if you have your hoppers youre good to go, just head to the parks, or if you want go to the second resort, do the online checkin counter and leave your carryons once you check in.

to get to the second resort you will have to bus to a park or to ttc, then hope your bus to the second resort. im wondering if with yours you could go rite to the mk and hope the monorail to the contemporary. then get off and go downstairs as thats where the desk is for blt.

a cm told our ta that they would trsansfer us too, but didnt. its not that long, just really a pain in the butt. we left at 10ish, headed to ak, got off, waited for the wl bus, went to online check in and our room was ready cus we did it online. dropped our carryons and went to mk for our lunch ressies.

hope this helps!

Every Disney resort is run completely separately, so you will have to check out then check into the new resort.

To get there, you can take a cab along with your luggage, or bring your luggage to Bell Services at the 1st resort then take the Disney bus system to the 2nd resort. Bell Services will transfer your luggage but it may take several hours to reach you.

It's not really a big deal, except that you have to pack up in the middle of your trip.

No worries! It's super easy!

After checking out of your first resort, let bell services know that you will need your luggage transferred to the next resort. They will completely take care of everything for you. You can then take a bus to your new resort and check in. You might not be able to get into your new room right away, so just head out to a park until your room is ready.

Split stays can be great, but you do always have that partial day of being "homeless" until you can get into your next room.

We've done a couple split stays and have never had any issues.
