First Souvenier from Disney that you can remember?

A Figment from a trip with my parents. Either when I was 4 or 8, I don't remember. I DO remember being so in love with the ride that when I got my kitten I named him Figment. Sadly, my mom was highly allergic so he went back after 3 days.

Hard to believe but I still remember the first set of Mouse Ears I got:cloud9: I was 5 years old- I still have them:cloud9: And yes- I still get them out to look at and show my girls;)That was almost 37 years ago:scared1: :lmao: I remember my first stuffed animal I got there as well- a Bianca(from The Rescuers) She is sitting on one of my girls Bookshelves;) And many other treasures from past trips:) It's always wonderful to get these souvenirs of past trips out and re-live the memories with my girls:thumbsup2

My souvenier wouldn't last long. Every year we would go to Disneyland with the company my Dad worked for, and every year on the way out we would stop in one of the shops on mainstreet and I would get to pick out one of those giant round suckers. It would take me a whole month to finish it.

Now I am remembering those candied apples from Main St in WDW...hmmm :cool1:

I remember this sketch of my mom had done of her and me. It was made by a robot but I have no clue where it was in WDW. It was in the 80's (mid to late)
She loves that picture

If anyone has any idea what I'm talking about, please let me know.

My first trip was late 70s and I remember 2 things. Loving Dumbo, and getting a mickey ears beanie cap with my name sewn on it. Even though we got one of these for each of our kids, and you do see other kids walking around the parks with these on, they clearly aren't as popular as they used to be. I remember everyone would be wearing these back then and it was almost like a right of passage getting one for myslelf.

Was looking through my pin collection and found my first princess pin ever!! :)

My first souvenier was an "It's a Small World" music box. I still have it and yes it works. I was probably about 5 when I got it. On another Disney trip after I graduated high school we went and it was the 25th Anniversary and I remember there was a small museum set up with items from the early years of the park. Guess what was in the museum. A music box just like mine. That made me feel old, even though at that time I wasn't.

I think my parents might say my first souvenir was a plush Dumbo with satin ears that I carried around and rubbed mercilessly until the satin wore out. But the first souvenir I actually remember picking out for myself was a stuffed Marie from Aristocats. I loved her pink bow on her head. I still have it too.

While I had to throw away the long outgrown yellow Mickey Mouse t-shirt that I bought myself in 1979 when I was very skinny () we still have all the Figment souvenirs from DS's first trip in 1990 including this nightlight which is still working on the original bulb! Gotta love Figment!

On my first DL trip, I was in the second grade and my parents didn't buy me anything... still sad about that. :guilty:

but I went back in the 11th grade and bought myself a little stitch plushie! :woohoo:

First thing I absolutely got and needed when I got to disney was an autograph book and a special pen because all I wanted to do was meet some characters! :cutie:
