I have my very first Mickey Mouse Stuffed Animal, purchased during a trip to Disney in July 1976! He is a bit worn out from all the love he received over the years but none the less, still my favorite all time souvenir!!!!
I used to love the demos at that Magic Shop when I was a kid!
Though I don't know where it is now, I had a great Yellow Fab 5 Backpack that I carried all during 1st Grade.
And I had this Jewelry Box too.
Mine was purple, but it was just like this otherwise! I can still remember standing in the Emporium with my mom, trying to get as many tiny little trinkets as my money would allow! I had a hard time deciding on the color for this jewelry box! Such big decisions for a little kid!
Mine were a stuffed Pooh in a bumble bee outfit, an Eeyore hat with ears that dangled down, and a Spaceship Earth replica thing where you could take the ball off the stand and it opened in half.
I don't know where any of them are I'm guessing my parents got rid of my Pooh one day when I was at school (they were notorious for getting rid of my stuff when I wasn't home.. grrr ). I don't know about the hat's disappearance at all. And the Spaceship earth stand.. I'm hoping it's out in the garage because I remember seeing it maybe 2 or 3 years ago. I plan to go looking for that and my first pin lanyard soon.
My first trip to WDW was in 1975 when I was nine years old. I got a little Pluto plush figure that was about six inches tall. It lasted for about a year when my dog at the time decided it was her new chew toy. Pluto didn't have a chance.
Mine was a drink holder in the shape of an orange with a green straw, does anyone remember these? It was back in the 70's at The Sunshine Tree Terrace.
A Figment stuffed animal. When I was 2 and my sister was 6 or 7 my parents let us each pick out one. My sister picked out a small one (maybe about 7 inches) and I requested the huge one (probably about 18 inches). To this day, my sister is still the modest one and I still go by the motto of go big or go home.
my 1st was when I was about 7 or 8 I got a stuffed Marie ...what a dork I was (still remember being so goofy in pictures with this cat) then I just thought about ...last trip I got a picture with me and Marie in France.....how things come full circle!
My first ever WDW souvenir was a Cinderella piggy bank that my aunt and uncle brought back for me after their trip when I was about 3 or 4.
It wasn't until I was 6 years old that I went for the first time, and my life was changed forever!
Mine was a stuffed Tigger. Back then they use to have a truck that went around the loops in Fort Wilderness selling Disney stuff and we got it from that... I still have it, it is 10ft away from me right now... still looks great considering it is 39 years old.
Mine was from the early 90's. It was a pointy princess hat like the one Minnie wears in the cartoon where Mickey defeats the giant. I loved that hat but I don't have it anymore
My first trip was in the early 70's with my dad and grandparents. The Haunted Mansion scared the crud out of me, but I fell in love with IASW. I was 5 years old singing that song over and over, so my grandmother bought me the music on vinyl! Over 35 years later, that record is still at my parents house in their record collection!
One of the first souvineirs I can remember is a porceline Minnie Mouse jewelery box. I loved it so much! I also got a plush Minnie and a WDW sweatshirt because it turned out to be colder than we thought.
We went to Epcot the first year it opened and I bought a Pinata in the Mexico pavilion. I had that thing hanging from my ceiling in my bedroom or at least 10 years! I don't remember what else I got that trip, but that was great.
Never got to go as a child but when I went as an adult in 1991 I got a 20th Anniversary Sweatshirt and DH has a space mountain oversized tank top that I can't bear putting in the rag bag. It's so tech geeky and cool!
and my DD22 was 3 at the time and got a plastic blow molded Snow White bank. She still has it.
