First Souvenier from Disney that you can remember?

Mine was a stuffed Mickey Mouse that my grandmother bought for me on my first trip. I still have it:goodvibes

My sisters and I both have piggy banks from Epcot. They are shaped like a traditional pig bank, but each one is from a different country. They each have a bear dressed in clothes from that country painted on the side. We got them back in the 80's when my Mom married my stepdad and he took us all there for the honeymoon.

I think that mine is from 1974 or 1975. My parents bought me a Madame Alexander Cinderella doll at the Magic Kingdom. I loved that doll dearly and still have it almost 40 years later! She is in pretty good condition and currently sits on my daughter's dresser. :wizard:

I also still have my Pinocchio/Jiminy Cricket music box from when I was little. My other daughter gets that souvenir! :)

During the Electrical Light parade at MK circa the early 90's, they would sell these light up plastic visors with a battery pack in the band that goes around your head. I can picture that thing so clearly in my mind. After coming home from Disney that year, I would wear that thing morning, noon and night around my house. I love Disney memories :goodvibes

THANK YOU OP! Jessica... I'm in a sad mood tonight and your thread made me smile...:goodvibes

PP - Goofier....YES - I do remember the "orange Shaped" plastic drinks !:thumbsup2

Anyway...

My first memory of a Souvenier ...

There used to be a Magic Shop near the Haunted Mansion... (I think it has been replaced by a Kiosk...but tell me if I'm wrong please)...

And in 1975, at age 10... I purchased (with my "own" money) the Trick "Fly in an icecube"...

(it was plastic.)

Anyway ... I remember "Playing" it on my Aunt probably during Thanksgiving...:scared1:

Just had some good memories with it.....:laughing::rotfl:

((HUGS))

Mickey Sweatshirts for sure...and also still have my silouettes. First thing that came to mind, though, is a Donald Duck figurine...still have it and still love it!

The smallest Figment plush - I loved the ride and I was so grateful to be getting ANY size Figment. :) (Now, if I could get my hands on one of the GIANT ones they used to sell then, too, I'd be thrilled!)

It was near the end of our trip in 1987 and I clearly remember getting him at a store in Epcot where they had a felt sign that lit up in different colors.

My only trip as a child was in August 1981, my 10th birthday present from my grandparents. I had saved birthday money to buy a stuffed Mickey. My mom also bought me a blown glass Pluto. Still have both, almost 30 years later!

I got a Robin Hood hat with a big red feather in it..........and it blew off while riding Snow White's Scary Adventure. I cried and cried.

I still have mine- it's a little stuffed Mickey from my first trip. It's currently sitting on my dresser in my college dorm.

Still have mine.. It is a "trick" box with Haunted Mansion on it..It's kinda like a jewlery box but has a certain way to open. Not sure that it didn't come from the Magic Shoppe though..Oh, how I miss that store... We were at DL last week and I just reveled in the magic store. It's not quite as "magical" as I remember the one at WDW being as a child but probably just because I was a child.

Plushes. Especially a Minnie Mouse with a pink and white polka dot dress and a pink bow on her head. I think I got her when I was four or five. I loved her.

A small stuffed goofy they left in our room at the Contemporary, after we told them we were on our honeymoon.

I still have all of my souvies from my first trip back in 1992. In addition to the obligatory autograph books. My parents bought my sisters and I all mouse ears (I chose the minnie mouse headband). Also, I got Pongo and Purdita plush. I love those dogs, even to this day. The site of them just makes me smile. :goodvibes I was actually just looking at a photo my dad took of me in all my souvie goodness right outside the CR garden wing parking lot... ahhhhhhhhhh memories.

My gramma bought me a Piglet plush on my first trip. Along with this light up hat that had the number 2000 on it. I don't think I have it anymore though. :sad1: My gramma also brought me and my siblings back mouse ear hats with our names on the back of them before I went on my first trip. I don't think I have the hat anymore either. :sad1:

I remember vaguely getting my Tigger stuffed animal. I was in the old fashion yellow rain ponchos with Tigger inside so he didn't get wet. I actually have a photo of it :)

haha! These make me feel old!

1) I distinctly remember staying at the GF and buying small plush animals at the gift shop!

2) My grandparents brought me back these little rubber minnie/mickey figures.

3) Some stylin big buttons that said Walt Disney World.

4) and my personal favorite was this little pinkshoe that you could hang off of your purse or jeans or something with little minnie faces on it.

Yes - I was a child of the 80's.
