"First rule of leadership, Princess...." ~Overdosing on Ice Cream

WOW! I finally got caught up. It took me three days, but I've read the WHOLE thing. Your report so far is absolutely wonderful. I've loved your descriptions and pictures. Reading trip reports like yours makes waiting to go to Disney World much easier :)

So glad you're feeling better Michelle! My mom ALWAYS gave me Constant Comment (aka orange spice) tea when I had a cold. Warm and soothing. Can't wait to hear what happens next!

Yay for a soothing evening! The pics. of the CSR pool at night are GORGEOUS! Too funny about Daisy and her "specific" picture. It came out sooo cute! Who are we to question the mind of a teenage girl right:thumbsup2 Are you guys all settled into your house? Do you still feel stressed? Bummer about your cold:( I hope you feel better soon!:goodvibes

Not in the house yet, almost there, it is getting very close. We should be moving in the week of 4th of July. I'm less stressed now that school is out. I will be glad when the cold is gone!

Friday March 14, 2008

Miraculously when I woke up Friday morning my feet were much, much better. As I pulled out the ziplock bags with the day's clothes in them I was thankful for the absence of pain. Today's clothing was more coordinated than matching. Joey wore navy cargo shorts with a polo shirt that was mostly navy and white checks with a few turquoise checks. Daisy had on a turquoise sleeveless knit top, and a yellow short sleeved sweater with bermuda shorts that were a brown, turquoise, pink, and yellow plaid. Adam dressed in tan shorts and a white polo shirt that had stripes of purple, green, turquoise and yellow. I wore tan capris with a yellow polo shirt with white stripes. Aunt Pat had on navy capris and a white v-neck knit shirt. David wore brown cargo shorts and a black t-shirt. Since the day before had been hot and we had ended up not needing sweatshirts, none of the kids took their sweatshirts with them in the morning.

After a breakfast of donuts and water we we walked over to the bus stop.

Once again I noted to myself that even though I had been disappointed initially at not getting our building request, it ended up working out better to have the room location we had so close to the bus stop. I would request our rooms again at CSR, being close to the pool is nice, but being close to a bus stop is better.

At the bus stop David was once again in charge of putting sunscreen on the boys.

I had been very vigilant about putting sunscreen on my own fair skin, as had Aunt Pat. Daisy is allergic to it, but luckily she has darker skin that tans easily. The only sunscreen misfire the whole trip was David forgetting to put it on his feet the first day he wore sandals, so he dealt with the tops of his feet being burnt during the week.

We arrived at Hollywood Studios in time to be the first at a turnstile and waited to be let in.

Right from the first Hollywood Studios reminded us of California Adventure.

Adam got bored with waiting and started to bug his sister, so I sent him off to get a map and show times guide. When he got back, way to quickly, the guy behind us half jokingly asked if he would get one for him, so I sent Adam off one more time.

Shortly after that we were let in and walked quickly down the street to the rope. We stayed to the right side knowing we wanted to turn down Hollywood Blvd. towards Tower of Terror and Rock n Rollercoaster.

While waiting for rope drop we discussed our plan of attack. Daisy and I had no desire to go on Tower of Terror. We both had been on it once during our June 06 trip to Disneyland and once was enough for us. So we would head to Rock n Rollercoaster and get Fast Passes while the others went to ride Tower of Terror.

As we finished reviewing our plan a car drove down the road towards the rope and the opening show began.

I liked the show and thought it was fun. The family helping to open the park was a young couple with a very cute baby and they embraced their part and looked like they were enjoying themselves.

I was glad to see the sign finally raised and to smile and yell with everyone else "Hollywood Here We Come."

Sounds like a good start to a day. Glad to hear that the foot pain was better. Nothing's worse than blisters and painful feet...

It sounds like you had a great start to your day at Hollywood Studios. A great start with great pictures. I've never seen the opening show and now I'm going to have to build that into my plans the next time we go.

Yea! to your tootsies feeling better! We didn't spend much time at DHS. So I'm looking forward to reading your experience.

I don't think he will make that mistake again.

I love the park openings. Sounds like a great start to the Studios...I hope you didn't get trampled in the mad rush or anything drastic. Your poor feet.
