"First rule of leadership, Princess...." ~Overdosing on Ice Cream

My oldest daughter, who was 7 at the time, was up for every roller coaster Disney could throw at her, but would have NOTHING to do w/ToT because of the creep factor. Both girls sidled up super close to us just being within visual range of it on our way up to Fantasmic! Madeline is bound and determined to conquer it this next trip. :thumbsup2 However, it will definitely be without me!::yes::

I totally get the whole creep factor thing!

Great report! :goodvibes My son is 8 now, and did Tower of Terror for the first time this year. He did it just once, the fall he liked a lot, but not the theme, he was frightened of it.

I agree with you about the GMR, however we were fortunate enough to sit in the very front next to the CM so the boys got a kick out of the gangster scene because the CM looked at the boys and pretended he was going to keep his eye on them. I don't like simulator rides either!:goodvibes

I just said almost the same thing on your trip report. :rotfl:

That must have cool for them to sit next to the CM and then be so close to the gangster. That's why I wish they would have more live action during the ride.

The ToT is totally creepy! DH and I only went on once...I was creeped out by the whole Twilight Zone theme and just had the heebee jeebies about it all! Then when it went completely black I was NOT okay with that-just waiting for something totally freaky to happen, but then it was just the fall and that was fun! Though, we didn't seem to get a very good fall from what I have heard from other people, they sometimes drop from top to bottom, I think we only went a few floors and bounced back up, so the fall didn't make up for the whole creepy part at all...but all well, if my DB comes on the trip this year, we'll probably do it together again, but there is NO way I would go alone without my hubby!!! :rotfl2:

I think the only way I would go on ToT again would be if I was with someone who had never done it and really, really wanted to.

Wow. it's reverse for me. I'd love to see ToT and the theming, but no drop. I hate big drops!

I love the ToT! I managed to get everyone on it! I have NEVER done the great movie ride. I totally agree about the ride simulators they make me

I think the theming is done well, I've just never liked the Twilight Zone. I'm a big chicken and am afraid of the dark, so stuff like that scares me a lot!

Star Tours and Back to the Future at Universal both make me  Mission Space at Epcot.

Sorry it took me so long to reply. I think I caught your summer cold  . I think GMR needs a bit of an update but I still enjoy it. The backlot tour however... :( Anyway Happy FP for RRC. I love that ride! And I agree about the simulators. I can do some but too much will make me very ill, generally with delayed affects. Found that out the hard way after spending all day at Disney Quest with over 15 trips on that make your coaster thing. :faint: It was a bad night.

Sorry about the cold, I didn't mean to share. That does sound like a bad night after Disney Quest.

I absolutely love Tower of Terror! It's creepy but I guess that's why I love it so darn much. LOL! Crazy I guess.

"But you have heard of me" -Pirates of the Caribbean Curse of the Black Pearl

After Star Tours we set off through the Streets of America.

We saw Kim Possible and Ron with only a few kids around them, but our kids didn't want to stop. David tried to get Adam to go ask Kim where Monkey Fist was, but Adam wouldn't do it.

I did insist we stop for a Photopass photographer who then insisted that David and I get in the photo. I didn't want to, but I complied. Then I was annoyed when the photographer had us all put our fists on our heads as our "Mickey Ears." I thought that was silly and planned to just delete those pictures from our photo cd later, but the picture turned out really cute.

Down another empty street I asked everyone to pick a door to stand in front of.

I did not direct their poses! They did those all on their own. Joey's hiding from the paparazzi pose is my favorite.

We went around another corner ad I spotted the Singing in the Rain umbrella. The kids had a good time posing with it.

The Streets of America are kind of a confusing maze and I don't think we saw much of them. We were trying to find the Backlot Tour and the map was less than helpful. During our walk we did see a couple of Power Rangers out signing autographs. Since no one in our house has ever seen a Power Ranger episode we didn't stop. We walked past a Monsters Inc. door and spotted where to go for the Lights! Motors! Actions! show. However we still were not finding the Backlot Tour.

I spotted a stairway that lead up to where I though we were suppose to be going, but it said cast members only or something like that. So we turned down a walk way which ended up taking us to a souvenir shop. I felt rather silly but I asked the CM in there how to find the Backlot Tour. She told us we needed to go back out the walk way and past where I had seen the staircase all the way to the end of the building. We did what she said and I was so focused on looking for the entrance that I didn't even notice what else was back in that area. We did finally, much to my relief, find the entrance and got in line with the few other people who were there and waited for the Backlot Tour to begin.

Can't understand why you don't like your picture taken? You're very pretty.
What a beautiful family.

I can't wait to give DHS some real visit time. Looks like fun.

The Studios are so confusing! I always need a map there.

I had a map and it wasn't helping. It's the one park that I feel like I could not find my way around very well.

Thank you. Next time I need to really explore DHS.

I got really lost at MGM too. The set up is confusing or something. I like that first family photo!

Thank you. I'm glad I'm not the only one that finds Hollywood Studios confusing.
