Sorry, don't trust the government that much. As I said, I'll hang on to it (except for emergencies) until 2020 taxes are done.Does this answer your question, maybe?

There is a tab on ira.govHow do you check status?
For DS-23 it says, when I check status...
Payment Status Not Available
According to information that we have on file, we cannot determine your eligibility for a payment at this time.
Mine is working full time. Not a student. Was part time student in 2018 but not since then. And lives on his own, not on our taxes. Same with my nephew and he got same message.yes I got that for my college son who I knew wasn’t eligible but I wanted to check anyway.
Daughter didn’t get hers either.DS-23 did not get his today. Wonder why? We do his taxes for him and he's had direct deposit the past few years.
Just checked. It said we are eligible but they say they don't have our direct deposit info. I had to enter the numbers from our 2019 tax return (AGI and refund or owed amount) and got a message I didn't match their records. I think it was because I did not take the refund but applied the amount to our 2020 estimated taxes. I should have put in zero for the refunded amount (instead of the amount of the overpayment) maybe? I have to wait until tomorrow to try again.Anyone not get it & use the check my status & it say “status unavailable”? We should be eligible, but I’m pretty sure they don’t have our direct deposit info as we usually have to pay each year.
Wonder why. Both my DS and nephew have been working full time since 2018. And not on our taxes. DS, currently, works at hotel which is shut down. Signed a new lease in Feb (before this all hit) and was set to move in this month to new place. Tried to get out of lease due to his hotel being shut down. But apartment said 'no can do' you must honor lease and cost 2 months rent to get out of lease. He really really needs this stimulus check.Daughter didn’t get hers either.
Update lol husband called and was able to get the automated and it is Pending in the account for $2,400.Payment Status

Unfortunately our bank's mobile and and online website is down..must be too much traffic right now so we'll have to check later to see if it's pending or posted.
This is what my daughter is panicked about. She wasn’t claimed by us and doesn’t live here since November of last year. She works part time because she’s in college but lost her job because of all this. Would the irs even know she “could have“ been claimed by us?Why is the wording, of who is NOT eligible, this?
You can be claimed as a dependent on someone else’s return. For example, this would include a child, student or older dependent who can be claimed on a parent’s return.
As opposed to 'you WERE claimed as dependent on parent's taxes'?
