Hi all

Where would you book for your first nights meal in Disney ...

We are up very early in the morning (4am) and so would like to have booked a meal to ensure we don't have to stand for ages and ages waiting for a table.

Like most people we are on a budget and would not really want to spend much more than 25e for an adult (we have a character breakfast booked for the next day so we don't need to "do" a character dinner).

Currently I am thinking about buffet Billy Bobs Saloon - but there are no views on the forum about this restaurant ... has anyone been there ? what was it like ? Is it all you can eat - or is it restricted ?

Any views or guidance would be welocme :)

We would prolly be eating around 6.30pm as I guess by then we will all be shattered !

The other option is perhaps the

Where are you staying Cazgal?

We too have to get up at about 4am when we travel to DLRP, in the past we have done one of 2 things. I have booked Cafe Mickey for dinner right after the park closing time - but you may be a bit overtired to enjoy this fully on your first night, especially after such a long day.

Depending on where you are staying, you could also just head back to your hotel for dinner there. The best time to do this is to be at dinner before the official park closing time (as all the restaurants, everywhere, fill up after the park closes). This means you will have an unhurried choice, little queuing, and the main advantage is you can just drag yourselves off to your room when you're finished eating :goodvibes .

We are staying at the Cheyenne ... but I hear the reviews of their buffet aren't too great !

On our last 2 visits we have had a buffet for our first day meal - and eaten it at lunch time. At Christmas we ate at the Lucky Nugget and then 2 weeks ago we arrived on a Sunday so we were able to have the Sunday brunch at the Steakhouse. Both of these were character meals so we felt we didn't mind missing park time to eat because we were getting character interaction at the same time as an eat-all-you-can-manage meal.:) We'd had early starts both times - in fact last time we left home at midnight and drove through the night so we were very tired by lunchtime.:faint:

Another possible option, for an early evening meal with only a short walk back to your hotel, would be the Parkside Diner buffet at the hotel New York. You are only about 5 minutes walk between the New York and the Cheyenne along the lakeside.

Upstairs in billy bobs is open from 6. We went there at christmas and really enjoyed the food. It is an all you can buffet style menu, Really nice hot foods and lovely salads too. I thought there was lots to choose from.

We should be at the parks by just after noon - 12.30pm.

So that - shoud - give us a few hours in the parks and then dinner.

Plan is to get a sandwich during the drive so we aren't starving when we arrive ..

Thabnks for all the suggestions :)

When we've had an early start we usually like to have a meal at lunchtime to help us recharge the batteries and give us a rest. However saying that its usually been when the parks are open very late so the rset then allows us to stay late when otherwise we would be really flagging
