Hello everyone,

We are brand new members, and are taking our first trip "home" Feb 10-17. I have a pretty good understanding of the DVC discounts, but are there any good tips you could give us and our 2 1/2 year old for this trip. My DD was there last fall and loved all the characters.

I heard a rumor that there is a special viewing area for DVC members at the fireworks shows?

Any helpful info would be appreciated.

Thanks

We traveled with our DGS, almost 2, a few months ago to DL and CA. My best advice would be to plan in some down time each afternoon for naps. It is really refreshing to get in a swim and a rest - helps everyone feel ready to go back out and enjoy the evening at the park :cloud9:

My best advice is RELAX and enjoy the trip with the knowledge that you'll be back soon. It is hard to explain how different you'll feel when you arrive "home". All the pressure to see and do everything is off. It's just wonderful.

As for your dgs's age - that's one of my favorite ages for Disney. The Character Connection @ Epcot is a great place to see characters - it's indoors, all the classic characters are there, and the lines don't tend to be as bad.

Chef Mickeys is also great with a child his age. Which resort are you staying in?

Do you have annual passes? If you have an AP, you get a 10% discount at World of Disney in DTD - we waited and bought the majority of our souvineers there.

Breakfast at the Poly is a must for us. We do this the first Morning we are in Disney, gets eveyone off to a great start. Like MAGIC said some afternoon down time is a must.
Enjoy, Merry Christmas,
Nick
