First Magic Candle Company Order

Good Morning Everybody! First time posting here. So my wife and I have really been missing the parks since we live in Pittburgh PA. So we finally decided to place an order from Magic Candle Company and I was curious how everyone else likes the different scents. We ordered the pick 4 wax melt and chose Banshee Flight, Pirate Life, Little Old Christmas Shop and Citrus Swirl. Then we also ordered candles of Mouse Waffles, Terror, Haunted, The Grey Stuff, and Bakery. I just wanted to see if anyone has ordered these scents and what your honest reviews of them are. Welcome! My cousin gifted me the Haunted Mansion candle and I was impressed by the quality (it had a strong scent and I like the wood wick). I ended up ordering the Poly, Banshee, and Contemporary candles and am waiting for them to come. I did smell my cousin's Contemporary candle and it seemed spot on!

out of the ones you've listed, I've had wax melts of Banshee Flight (which is the same scent as Flying over Fiji and the ET scent, I think). It was ok, very fresh smelling. I've also had the scent circle/car freshener of Haunted. At first I hated it (I thought it smelled like a caramel that had been left at the bottom of a grandma's purse with lint sticking to it), but it mellowed out and eventually I really liked it.

Of the melts and scent circles I've ordered, we've liked probably 80% of them. We have also ordered four of the sanitizers and loved all of them - Pirate's Life was one of those, and the scent is good. I feel like it might be too strong in a melt but maybe not in a candle.

One thing I hate is the wax melts are very mushy and hard to scrape out of warmer trays unless you use the cotton ball method when the wax is melted.

If you use the search function at the top right of the screen, there are a few different threads where people talk about the scents they've ordered.

Scents we've tried: African Lodge (hated it, gave me a headache, overly sweet scent nothing like AKL), Flying over Africa (perfect! my favorite), Banshee Flight, Tiki Terrace (love in all forms: wax melt, scent circle, sanitizer), Polynesian (love in both forms we've tried: sanitizer and scent circle), Haunted, Norway (smelled like the inside of a scented Glad trash bag. Nothing like I wanted!), Pineapple Whip (great as the sanitizer - don't think I'd want it in anything else though), Yacht Resort (love in both wax melt and sanitizer)

Have Banshee and Pirate for what you're getting. Also the Burning Rome, which is a little too strong but you definitely feel like you're going through Spaceship Earth. Love Magic Candle Co. I do the wax melts. I will start them when DH isn't home and it will be nice and fragrant when he gets home. Then we play a game where he has to guess the scent. LOL have to give him clues sometime like which park but still fun.

I have ordered a bunch, and let me just generically say...
Some of them smell great.
Some of them smell terrible
Some of them are exactly the same, just different names.

Either way, they are pretty cheap, and fun. I like my pirates life candle, my wife likes the polynesian, my daughter likes the African lodge. The boys don't care, lol. I don't like haunted mansion as much as I should, as that's my favorite attraction.

I don't burn candles, so I have the oils. I think I have tried 44 of their scents. (Includes the duplicates like Banshee Flight and Flying over Fiji, EXtraTerrestrial smells totally different.)

Since scents are so personal, you are going to get conflicting answers. I did review a lot of them in a thread on this site somewhere. Banshee Flight and Mouse Waffles are ok. I didn't care for Pirate Life, but it has changed since I ordered it. I like Xmas Shop, one of my favorites. Not the biggest fan of Terror. To me, it smelled like an old man's shaving cream. I love Haunted,
