My first OFFICIAL job was at Subway. Someone had seen that they were hiring and told me to check it out. Worked there about four months...

My first car was a 1986 Toyota Corolla that my dad discoved unused at a friend's house. Bought it cheap, dad fixed it and I drove it for about two years. Sold it when I got my new car and they're still driving it!

My first job, and only job to this day, is at Johnny Rockets. I've been the hostess/to-go girl and now I'm a waitress. I've been there a year and a half now. I walked in with my mom to get lunch one day and asked for an application. Then a few days later I walked in to check on the status of that application and it happens that the hiriring manager was there that day and we made an interview appointment. Now, to get a job there you really have to know someone who already works there. I'm in the minority of people who just got hired off the street basically.

My car is a 1992 ford taurus. When my grandma died a couple years ago my family got the car. My brother and I share it.

My first job was at Jamba Juice. I'm still there, been there for about 20 months now. They built/ are still building this shopping center by my house and I saw a Jamba was opening. Put an application on, got hired on the spot of my interview, and its all history after that.
My second job, that kinda pays, is an internship with a local photographer. I found her online, emailed and asked if she was looking for an intern. She was so she "hired" me, unpaid all summer. I'm still there too, about 6 months now. I go twice a week now, once unpaid once paid. Sooo much better than my Jamba job.

My car (its my first) is a 2000 Suberu Forester. It was my dad's car. But for his 50th, which was the same year as my 16th, he got a new car so I got his. I've had it for 2 years now and it has to last another 2 till my brother goes off to college. So far it looks like it will... =)

I really really need to get a job, but unfortunately we're in the boondocks and not everyone hires 16+. I'm getting an application for the new Rite Aid that's like 3 minutes away, but the only other place I can find is a TJ Maxx 15 miles away.

my first job was being a baby sitter!
my first REAL job was working in a coffee shop called mad city. I got that job right before my junior year, so I had just turned 16.

i have never had my very own car
my job was in walking distance, and when i was being lazy i would get a ride from someone or drive my mom's car which is a mercury villager. sexy, huh? yeah everyone was jealous of my ride.

My first job was at the amusement park here (Kings Island).

My first car was (and still is!) a VW Beetle. We got it in 2002 brand new and got rid of our old VW wagon because it was a lemon. I always wanted a beetle so it was better to get it then so it wouldn't be brand new when I first drove (lower insurance).

I'm 5 miles away from my job. It is in a different city though and our name tags say where we're from so people always look at mine and say "I thought we were in Cranston." And i just have to be like we are but i'm not from cranston.

there is a girl who works with me and she drives like 30 minutes. She lives out in the middle of nowhere so she'd have to drive far to get a job anywhere.

My first job was at a fast food resturant just downtown. It took me like...5 minutes to get there. I was there for like a month. I just applied and they hired me two months later.

My first car was this 1980 something pickup. It was pretty sweet but I couldn't get it to start, so we got rid of it.

Jamba is like a 10-15 drive depending on time of day, traffic, and how I drive . Not bad.
My internship is 30 minutes away. It's slightly a pain since its an hour of travel time, but in the case of my internship its soooo worth it.
Do you have a car that you would be driving yourself or would your parents drop you and pick you up?

my first job was at this place called 'pioneer village', it's a exactly what it sounds like...a tourist attraction type place where they have historic buildings and you pretend you're in pioneer times.
so i got to dress up as a pioneer and play pioneer games with kids
it was pretty far away, and since i was only 15 my parents had to drive me, but i only worked about 2 weekends per month so it wasn't too bad.

i have yet to purchase my own car, but the first car i drove was my dads ford escape, i looooved it. my parents let me have a car whenever i need so i don't have any reason to buy my own car just yet.


my current job is about a 5-7 minute drive from my house.

My first and only job is at a store that sells random things. My mom told me their were hiring so I went in to drop off my application and the manager was in so she interviewed me on the spot. I've been working there for a month.

My first car is a ford contour. It doesn't go as fast as I'd like but I'll deal.

My job is within 1.5 miles from my house but getting there takes 15 minutes because I have to reverse direction on the highway. Getting home takes me 3 minutes because no one is on the highway at night and I'm a lead foot.

my first job was as a janitor, cleaning at my school as a summer job.
i found out about it because my mom works at my school and she heard they needed summer help.

my first car [which i still have], is a 2003 yellow chevy cavalier.
my parents bought it for me for my 16th birthday.

First job - working on a fishing boat, baiting hooks for tourists, cleaning fish, teaching the tourists how to fish, watching the tourists throw up overboard when they got seasick, etc.

My first job was at Burger King for literally like two hours. Worst experience of my life and I'm completely traumatized by it. Sonya, seriously, never work fast food. I was out of my mind when I accepted that job. Thankfully I got a much better job at a shoe store.

I don't have a car, but the one I drive is a 2007 hyundai accent. It's my mom's, and she'll be giving it to me soon whenever she buys herself a new one.

my first job is my current job which is a movie theater. Kinda lame but has nice perks like free movies and i can see them early.

my first job was a summer internship in bank of america doing clerical work. my brother got me in. he has connections. im not really a "job" person but i have a couple of business ventures to keep the cashflow going.

my first car was an 07 mercedes c-class which my dad gave me. currently, i have an 09 porsche 911. my dad took care of the down payment and i take care of the monthly payments + insurance.
