Just back from a week at the world. It was myself and DH
We stayed two nights at Pop with 5 nights at POR.
Got to Pop early evening and got checked in right away. We had a preferred room in the 60's building. Room was two queen beds and had a connecting door to the room next door. Bathroom and sink area like the room on the small side. I was brushing my hair one morning and hit the shelf with my brush it is narrow.
Overall it's a fun looking place but we were only there to sleep so did not take advantage of the pools etc. Bus stops are not covered over so it was very hot standing waiting for them.
If we wanted a budget stay I would stay here again.
Leaving Pop we gave our bags to bell services who transferred them to POR. Our bags were already at bell services.
Got to POR late afternoon and we had booked a king bed room but DH knees were playing up so we opted to change it to a preferred room in building 15 as opposed to 34 to be closer to the buses and food court.
Room was good it had the Murphy bed so storage was limited but it was still a spacious room. We love the feel of this resort and the boats to DTD.

Highs
Weather was great with only one day of rain.
Thank goodness for FP+ as would never have got on some of the rides
Food and Wine festival was good as usual and less crowded than I've seen it.
Food on the whole was good with particular praise for Cali Grill
Getting a table at TUsker for lunch with no ADR was great we have done breakfast several times but never lunch. It was very good with lots of choice.
Getting my Dooney HM bag!!

Lows
WGPE in the market place has changed its menu. The pasta Alfredo is not nearly as good and now has goats cheese and mushrooms with no bacon or peas!! Very disappointed and service not as good. DH ended up swapping his Alfredo for a pizza.
Crowds seemed much higher than normal with rides like HM showing waits in excess of 55mins and it was well over 20mins with fast pass. 235mins for the SDMT
Construction everywhere. EPCOT, MK, DTD, AK, Poly, Contemporary. Some like DTD and AK very extensive and the Poly the whole lobby area is now filled with a giant construction box and the gallery shop is gone. While we have been lucky to see these places before all the walls I would be sad for those on first or only trips.

Overall we did have a good time and would go back for trip number 9 but we might leave it a year or so to see all the construction come to an end.

Was food and wine much busier at the weekends?

In all honesty not as bad as I have seen it. Some of the lines for the booths were longish but they moved quickly.
Even by Mexico where it's normally a bottle neck was easy to get through.

Just to clarify we were there Saturday night, all day Sunday and a large part of Monday.
