First EVER Florida Vacation! The 'no planning' PTR! **UPDATE Magic Kingdom!**

Your plans look fab! I do enjoy SeaWorld, but we're giving it a miss this year. Manta is a great ride - I hadn't done Air before Manta so I was terrified, but it was such an experience!

Your plans sound great. Look forward to your trip report when you return. How many weeks until you go? About 14? Happy planning.

Thanks! The original plan was for us to miss it this year because my DBF's family did it last year and I wasn't too fussed, but as soon as I saw some youtube videos I was dying to go :rotfl: I'm hoping going on Air first will mean i'm a little prepared for going on Manta, allthough I Know it's much higher  lol xxx

Thanks :thumbsup2 I'm actually looking forward to writing it :rotfl: I've heard it eases the transition between Disney World and the Real World lol IT'll be 14 week on Saturday yes  My countdown calendar has a lot of crossed off days now, I'm just waiting for it to hit those double digits!

Chapter 5: Guess What Day It Is!

Now I know most people do the single digit dance or the one week dance. But as most of you have noticed I'm a tad over excited :rolleyes1 and to be fair to me, I have been counting down since over 300 days. So I think it's ok for me to go a little bit crazy today and do the double digit dance. Because it is now only....

party: 99 DAYS!! party:

To make it even better, me and my DBF celebrated our double digit day by going to the cinema to see (in my opinion) one of the most beautiful love stories ever told. In 3D! That's right, just released in the UK we went to see:

Beauty-and-the-Beast-beauty-and-the-beast-309492_1024_768.jpg

Beauty and the Beast 3D!

It was brilliantly done. Beauty and the Beast is a classic and to transform it so magically into 3D while still keeping all the Disney qualities that make it what it is, is truly brilliant. The colours, the music, there were little details of the film that I had never noticed until seeing it in 3D. I think the sound quality may also have improved. I have also never noticed that the beauty and the beast 'theme music' plays often throughout the film, almost unnoticeable, but definitely there.

It could very nearly have been spoiled by two incredibly annoying children in the row in front. Don't get me wrong, I understand it is a Disney film and so I expect children. But any other children in the cinema were sitting quietly (probably in awe of the magic ) but these two did not shut up the entire film, talking very loudly, clapping, standing up in their seats and right at the end saying "he turns into a prince now" I could have cried for all those people in the audience who had never seen it and had now had the ending ruined. To top it off their parent (I assume) said nothing.

But I refuse to let it ruin my double digit day. The film was wonderful, Be Our Guest in 3D is GENIUS! And I'm now more excited than ever.

So that was just a quick update of celebration, I hope you all enjoyed it and joined in with my dance :rotfl: and I highly recommend going to see Beauty and the Beast 3D.

I'm hoping to get another update done in the next couple of days because now we can start talking about the happiest place on earth. Coming next....

....Chapter 6: Magic Kingdom!

Yay, double digits! :banana::banana::banana:

Ugh, annoying kids at movies is the worst. There's no excuse for that. Kids are perfectly capable of sitting nicely and quietly.

:rotfl: hahah thank you!

I know, it annoyed me more that the adult with them just left them to it  but eventually I got sucked into the movie and tuned them out.

Chapter 6: Magic Kingdom!

It's been a while since my last update so I'm pretty excited for today's topic: Magic Kingdom!

We'll be going here more than once during the two week that we're in Florida, although I don't actually know when :rotfl: Being in the MK will really make me feel like I'm in Disney so I'm hoping this will be our first Disney Park of the trip :hyper:

As you can see, MK is probably the park I am most excited for, and there are so many things I want to see and experience that it was kind of hard for me to decide which are my 'must dos'. But.....I finally got it narrowed down to the five things that I just HAVE to do while I'm in there.

(Again, not in any particular order)

Number 1: Wishes!

I've seen countless videos of this on youtube and it is honestly the thing I am most excited for. To be honest I've never been a big fan of fireworks, they're just big and loud and a bit pointless to me. That was until I saw a video of wishes. These aren't just random fireworks, they create patterns and beauty and they are in time with the music. I will be surprised beyond belief if I don't cry while watching this :rotfl:

Number 2: Philharmagic

My DBF has raved about this and he even mentioned it when we were watching the 'Be Our Guest' part of Beauty and the Beast in the cinema, so that part I am really interested to see, or should I say smell? ;) As you already know, I am a massive Donald fan, so the fact that he is the star of this makes me determined to see it, plus it incorporates scenes form some of my favourite Disney films ::yes::

Number 3: Meeting Donald Duck

disney-world-donald-duck.jpg

Another Donald themed one :rotfl: It might seem childish or silly to some of you (although I'm guessing not many of you lol ) but I am a BIG kid and I cannot wait to meet Donald Duck, give him a big hug and tell him he's my favourite! :rotfl: I guess I feel kind of sorry for him that he's always shown to be so grumpy, and Mickey gets all the attention....what about Donald? :confused3

Number 4: Space Mountain

space-mountain-green-1-12.jpg

This choice is more to do with conquering a fear than particulary being excited for it. Let me clarify, since being with my DBF there is no way I'm a ride wimp. He conquered my fear and now I LOVE them  However, I'm not a big fan of the dark, in fact, I'm a big wimp and I HATE the dark. I hate not being able to see where I'm going or see what's coming :worried: So Space Mountain is kind of based around my fear lol which is why I am determined to do. I think it looks like such a fun ride and I'm not gonna let some stupid fear stop me :thumbsup2

Number 5: Silhouette Cutting

This last one is just something I discovered while browsing the DIS, and it's exactly the kind of thing I love. It's quirky and fun and something that I'll be able to treasure forever. I'm looking forward to getting this done with my DBF and hopefully having something to frame in our future home to remind us of our first trip to Florida together :cloud9: I know, I'm far too soppy lol

So there they are :) I'd love to hear if any of you have your own stories or opinions about any of these :)

Coming next.....

Oh man, I need to stop reading PTR's! I love the silhouette cuttings and now I want one! :rotfl: :rotfl: And I can think of the perfect place it would go in my house! ::yes::

I love that you are a fireworks convert! :lovestruc I am a little bit of a fireworks-snob as my hometown hosts the firework championships every year which are amazing... but WDW beats them, every time !

And please, I'm 23 (only as of yesterday though) and I can't wait to meet the Princesses! Infact, I convinced DBF to book Cinderella's Royal Table!

I blame DIS! :rotfl: nearly all the little things I've found that I now HAVE to do, have been found while browsing the boards on here. DIS has a lot to answer for :rotfl:

Wow I bet that's amazing getting to see all those different fireworks, allthough I'm glad to hear that Disney gets your 'firework-snob' approval :thumbsup2

I'm so Jealous! I'm hoping we can book CRT for valentines night, but I bet it books up super quick :worried: I would love to have a valentines meal surrounded by princes lol

I'm joining in!!!! :yay:

:welcome: to my PTR! I hope you enjoy reading :thumbsup2

Cool PTR and I'm looking forward to reading the next chapter.

I love fireworks and I really fell in love with the Magic, Memories and You show on our last trip!

Hey my lovely!

Hope you are having a super fab holiday! Can't wait to hear about some updates when you get back! :goodvibes
