that could be a problem for us too - 3 weeks before the cruise we'll be in florida not home.

anyway to have the documents sent to our resort at wdw?

Yes, I need to know what resort you will be at and what your arrival date is.

Tracy,

If the cruise doc's don't come until 7-10 days prior to the cruise, that may be a problem. We're leaving home on Saturday May 2 - going to New York to visit our DD, DSIL, new grandson, & 2 1/2 year old grand-daughter. We'll be leaving from their place to go to WDW, so we may have already left home before those doc's come. We did get the pre-arrival kit.

I'm sure you'll have a solution, so I'm not really too worried :thumbsup2

I doubt you will have any problems with this. The documents are shipped UPS 3 day service. I have rarely seen any come 7 days prior to the cruise and that would mean that you would get them by May 1. It is highly likely they will come before this.

Also, if anyone is worried about not getting your documents, just make sure after your prebooking date comes that you fill out your documents online. Then it won't matter. You can get extra luggage tags at the port and other than those, there is nothing you will miss by not getting your documents.

We still have 2 Laserdiscs and 2VHS machines. No Betamaxs here. My DH was probably too young to buy one when it came out or I am sure I would have one.

I am not a big Star Trek fan, but I would have to say I like Kirk. My DH has all of Shatner's albums. I am sure he would not want me making that public knowledge.

Woo hoo - I'd go to see Hannah Montana whether DH would or not is another question :rotfl:

I'm sure Gav and I can find a bar....I mean something to do while you are in the movie.

DH told a friend about the podcast cruise and they came over during lunch and I convinced them to go :rotfl2: :cool1: Boy are they in for a surprise :scared1: when they meet us :dance3:

:rotfl: :rotfl:

cheers,
:flower3:

Todays the last day for the DU deals!
Hurry!!!

Welcome Karen! I've seen your posts before on other forums here. It will be nice to meet you.

PS - Stay away from Don, he's collecting wives...;)

if there are any other Trekkie fans out there, who's your favorite captain? The choices are: Kirk, Picard, Sisko, Janeway & Archer.

Picard is tops in my book followed by Sisko. Then Kirk, Janeway and Archer.

The new movie will be interesting.

Kim

Oh and for those Twilight fans -

I have finally caved and bought Twilight and New Moon.

I have been wanting to read them but I just hadn't been able to go get them!!

I'm sure I will in a reading frenzy later!!!

Yeah - I have some catching up to do I think!!!

I'm so out of the loop. I've never seen an episode of Star Trek ar any of the movies (or any James Bond Movies, for that matter) and I haven't read the Twilight Books (however, we have three of them in my house... I just haven't read them).

*insert kick the can smiley*

:rotfl: Set aside some time. Once you start, you won't be putting the books down anytime soon. Trust me.

Someone mentioned a Facebook page for the cruise. Anyone have the link?

I am so not a Trekkie. My ex husband watched all of those shows and movies...I did enjoy the first TNG movie though...was that one Generations? It was the one with both Kirk and Picard. I did NOT enjoy the Borg movies. The Borg scare the bejeezus out of me...DH and I did go to the Star Trek thingy out in Vegas when we were there in May. We didn't do the movies/shows/whatever they were, but we walked through the museum and stuff. We took some interesting pictures...:rotfl:

So, DH is open to extending our trip a bit. I'm going on the assumption that all will be fine with sis-in-law's pregnancy, of course. If it's just DH and me, we're going to see about using my AKL prize and stay two nights after the cruise! I need to find out details on the sunset safari stuff though...gotta make sure it's offered on those nights. If we do extend our stay, we'll be getting park admission...isn't there a BeerFest at Epcot in the works??? :yay:

Maybe it was just the time in my life, but I really liked TNG more than any other Star Trek series. Picard and the rest of the crew appealed to me more than any other crew.

I don't know if there a beerfest or Drink Around planned for EPCOT post-cruise. I think Paul, Don and myself briefly mentioned it. I'd be all for it though. Maybe we can drum up something the closer we get to the cruise.

Is that each person's post count to this thread? How do you check that again? I can't remember how to do it. If not, what the heck is this list?? :confused3

Count me in!! I'm taking Jaime to the airport then I might head back over that way!!

Picard...no contest there. Then, I would have to say Janeway.

I'm trying to find out when the sunset safari is offered...so far it's looking like Friday night. So that would leave Thursday night open for a DATW/Beerfest gathering at Epcot if anyone's interested...again, this is assuming that we're able to extend our stay, of course...:yay:

I can beat your VHS, we have some of the original episodes on Laser disk!:happytv:

I still have 2 VCR's...do you still have a laser disc player?
Anyone still have a BetaMax?

No VHS left - totally Tivo. I still have a Pioneer CLD-1010 laser disc player. :scared1: Never had beta. I guess the real question here is anyone still running a top loading VCR? :)

How on God's green earth am I ahead of Cocowum? :confused3

I watched the original series and the early movies. Don't consider myself a Trekkie at all and wouldn't know the new series to save my life.

Paul originally slated the DATW "With Beer" for Saturday post cruise. Drake, Don, myself, and others. I don't think there is an actual list of attendees up yet. I could possibly be up for a 2nd one on Thu/Fri/ :)
