Gotta get a bit of work done, plus start making food for tomorrow and Thursday. We're having an hors d'oeuvres buffet on Christmas and going to a big meal at someone's house for Christmas Eve. Totally new traditions this year.

We're laying low for Christmas for the very first time this year...Christmas Eve hors d'oeuvres at Ma's house, and a quiet Christmas dinner at home for the day. I hope this new tradition sticks...I'm feeling particularly bah! humbug this year.

On the up side, I finally got through to unemployment after trying for weeks, and I start training for my new CVS part-time job tomorrow...yes, Christmas Eve day.

So, hubby is taking a half day today, bringing home some Mickey D's for lunch (love me some sweet tea), and I'm going out to finish up the shopping, ALONE.

Then later we will all go out into the cold (it's in the 20s today) and do a few last minute gifts. Then tonight hubby is going out alone to shop for me. Yes, he is one of those men who doesn't do their shopping until the last minute. I buy for everyone and wrap them all, he just does mine.

Ugh, I can't wait for May!

I loved working when it was really busy and dealing with the crabby customers. Nothing got to them more when they wanted nothing to be rude, and I was really, really nice.
