The rule with due dates are pretty firm. Once it has been determined, they rarely ever change it.

tracy....since it is just me and my husband going on this podcast cruise. Do you link us with other podcast members as a group for dinner for late seating?? I am assuming we won't be with the regular cruisers, right??

I was thinking more "Wink, wink. Nudge, nudge." I know how are it is for a medical professional to admit he is wrong.

BTW: Any thoughts to the Martini/Wine Tasting Party?

Dang it Dang it Dang it! I told my mom that this would happen...LOL

I'm sure she's going to call DCL herself, just to verify the info later. :guilty:

errrr....ahhhhhh......lie about how far along she is......

What regular cruisers? You mean there are other people on this boat aside from us DIS'ers? :lmao: :lmao:

We're not going to worry about the linking until at least the end of February. At that time we will see who wants to be linked.

That stinks, Brandie. I know how excited you were about this. I wonder what the reasoning is for this rule.

We can be linked?!! :rolleyes1 Any DS9 fans here? :happytv: They'll know what I'm talking about :lmao: :rotfl2:

cheers,

I thought lying was bad, but if someone on the DIS does it then it is okay!

No one will ever have to find out that I was the one who broke the vase...

The reason is due to the potential complications that could happen and the medical facilities onboard. The same goes for a child less than 12 weeks old. They are not equiped to handle some of the complications that can come up.

I don't think they would fudge it anyway. My sis-in-law was never expecting to get pregnant to begin with. She was told as a teen that she'd probably never conceive...so when they did a few years ago, they were overjoyed. But she miscarried before her first trimester was done. If she's able to carry this little one to term, I wouldn't let them do anything to jeopardize this little miracle! :)

That is amazing. I am so sorry that they can't come, but so happy for them. I would not travel on a cruise if I was that close to 24 weeks, especially if that was the circumstances.

Yeah, I get that. My DD was born at 26 weeks. I couldn't fathom being on a ship. I had to cancel a 2nd trip to WDW when I found out I was pregnant with #2. I was high risk and could go nowhere.

That is really just too bad for Brandie's family, but what a blessing with the story she has told.

Please know that I was truely joking about the lie. I understand all too well complications during pregnancy. My Niece, who I spent last week with, was born prematurely at ~24 weeks. It was touch and go for a couple of days with her in the NICU and my Sister ICU. My Neice was in the NICU from the end of September till early January (her estimated due date). The Drs predicted numerous health issues, none of which have come true. The only challenge my Sister faces is keeping weight on her. Other then that she is a healthy 7-year old who's mission in life is to drive us nuts.

Exactly, some things are worth it....this however is not. This cruise will be SOOO great that we will be doing it every year!!

Wow Brandie, what a little miracle! I agree, I wouldn't want to jeopadize it, especially given her history too. Better to be safe. I don't think doctors fudge it much either......of course i knew the exact hour of our little one's conception thanks to science and test tubes, so i can't talk! lol

There will be more cruises and more time to share the magic with them on a future trip maybe? just more time to anticipate and plan

it really stinks though. i am so sorry!

Well Brandie, looks like we will be sharing a Kitchen Sink. We will just ask for our own bowls and a serving spoon. You, Todd and me. Anyone else?

Oh, c'mon, if there's food, you know I'm in.

I want the BIG spoon.
