*insert paper-bag-over-the-head smiley* My 20 year old son was conceived at a Drive-In.

There are just soooooo many ways to go with this one... :rotfl2: :lmao:

Let's see.... For starters: Was it a long movie?

What breeds do you have, Todd?

Long haired miniature dachshunds. Both black. They run around so much, and look so similar, that it's hard to tell them apart without their collars. DP likes to have them 'free range' around the house (i.e. naked or without their collars). I have resorted to just calling out "puppy" when I want one of them.

I figured I would start the afternoon with a confession. ;)

Speaking of dogs .... we get to get a puppy after the cruise. I am still trying to decide what to get. :confused3

We have a Boxer. Great family dog. If I ever wanted something smaller I would probably go for a Bosten Terrier.

I remember their photos. They are very cute. One of my family friends always had dachshunds, but she liked to over feed them. It was not pretty.:scared1:

Chick peas are good when pureéd, with a bit of tahini and a dash of lemon juice.

Hummus. Yummmmm. You forgot the cayenne pepper and (more importantly) the GARLIC! I thought about making some but didn't want to drag out all the stuff to make it. Maybe tomorrow.

That's just plain pitiful, Todd. Even the parents of twins can tell their own children apart. You should post a pic of them on FB.

I've been dogless since Christmas 2003. I'm starting to lean that way again... Always had Siberians, thinking of a Border Collie (or two) to be able to have a dog off-leash.

We had a Border Collie when I was growing up. She was the most loyal dog.:goodvibes She went every where with us. We found her wandering around in the desert. I miss her very much.:sad1:

Buddy stays on the leash about 90% of the time when we are on the bike path. When we go for a hike and it is not a busy trail he is off leash. It really depends on where we are.

If you get a Boarder Collie just to let you know they are very hyper!:hyper: :hyper: You will need to make sure they get the proper amount of exercise.

I concur! ::yes::

:

I was thinking of getting something small, but sturdy. I always had big dogs... Malamutes and Labs... my last dog was a Great Dane. But... we have 4 kids (5 when my step-daughter is here) and SOOOOO many toys. I think my big dog days are over until the kids get bigger.

It was a double feature... the first movie was.... wait for it....

Spaceballs.

I have NO idea what the second movie was.

Hmm..we could guess!

Cool Hand Luke

9 1/2 weeks (months)

Basic Instinct

Midnight Cowboy

Babies Mama (I know too new, but funny)

Growing up, we had Bouviers. They are kinda big, and some people that visited asked why we had bears as pets. They are super protective of their territory and their family. I have a picture from when I was about three months old hitting the dog with my toys. My grandmother told me she took that picture, and being wary of the big dog and little baby; she went to pick me up and the dog stood up and growled at her. He was just fine 'playing' with me. He also had an uncanny ability to know when someone was trying to put a move on one of my sisters. He didn't like that either.

I see your Schwartz is as big as mine. Let's see how well you handle it.

I keep Jaws on my DVR. I'm trying to get DD11 to watch it with me but she refuses. I say... "But, it's a CLASSIC!" and she says... "NO!!". What is a mother to do?

I'm a bit late chiming in on the Jaws thing, but had to comment on this -- I just find it so funny that you are trying to convince your daughter to watch it, and not the other way around!

Now for my own Jaws story - as you may know, it was a book first, by Peter Benchley. As an avid reader, I read this when it came out. I was 12. I was also in the habit of asking my mom what a word meant whenever I came across an unfamiliar word. Well, we were at my grandparents house and I was reading the book, came across a word I hadn't seen before, and piped up "Mom, what's a vahjinah?" (spelled as I spoke it) My mother was so mortified to be asked this in front of her father, that she refused to answer. Oh, and the whole story line with Richard Dreyfuss character having an affair with the Chief's wife (which was the context for the use of the word) was cut from the movie.

Aren't you glad you know that about me? ;)

I'm a dog groomer with no dog. Go figure. My dog died almost 12 years ago at the age of 15.

Well, If I had to wash dogs all day I might not have a dog either.

Our pups only go on a leash when we go to the dog friendly malls or dog park. They are virtually attached at our ankles. They don't care about birds, squirrels, other dogs, cars, people, just where we are going. They tend to be quite well behaved.

Buddy is a good dog we have cops here who will give you a ticket if your dog is not on a leash. People have been complaining about the dogs not on leashes.:sad2:

See Dara all of the fun you are missing!:goodvibes
Do you remember what the movie was?:rotfl:
