Hi Everyone-

I can't believe you guys are almost finishing thread #7 - I can't keep up!
I haven't been around alot, it has been a rough 6 weeks or so for my family. My mother in law was battling pancreatic cancer and past away last Sunday.
It has been especially rough for my husband who was there w/her until the end. Every free minute he had not at work or school he spent w/her in Brooklyn where she lived, which is about 1 hour away from us so it's been alot of back and forth.

The good news is that we are really looking forward to the cruise and can go now without feeling guilt or fear that something might happen while we are away.

Looking forward to meeting everyone!

Andrea

I'm so sorry for your loss.:grouphug: :grouphug:

Tomorrow's the big day Anna. We will find out what all this "hoopla" is about.

Hi Aaron!:)
I wonder what it will cost to join? I guess we will find out tomorrow. :goodvibes

Of course you have time. It is a vacation after all. In the trip report that Nicole posted a few pages back, the family of 5 booked about a month out and had a fabulous time!

Break a leg with your video!!!

I though about you over the weekend, more specifically due to your dancing. There was an advert on the wall of the bar we were at for an upcoming Arabian night and it showed people in (what I would consider) belly dancing clothes.

Thanks!

for belly dancers - drop a zyll = break a leg. zylls are the brass finger cymbals. Drop one, and it could hurt (if you step on it) worse case - it flies across the room and takes out an eye...

I can see Chevy Chase and Steve Martin (back in their hayday) performing a scene like this in a spy movie....:rotfl: :rotfl: :lmao: :lmao:

Now you are giving me ideas - but this time around I am performing with veil fans, not zylls! too bad they aren't razor sharp! :rotfl: :rolleyes1

I see someone else is tracking the details......just a couple more pages until we hit that magic mark.

And since I was not around over the weekend when Miss Brandie blamed the post count on me, I should deflect the blame to J-Kim. I just DIS at work and have the tendency to talk often. But work is starting to pick up again (as well as AskTracy asked us to slow down) so I fear the frequency of my posting may decrease. I am not abdicating. Just taking a step towards moderation.princess:

Todd, I thought you worked at home. What is it you do that you can DIS and work - air traffic control?

Isn't a work-at-home air traffic controller like a work-at-home janitor? you'd need to be there in order to get your job done. Although I'd be a little concerned if an Air Traffic Controller was working from home.

Nuclear Defense.

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I am a computer draftsman. I draw stuff with the computer. Mostly roofs. And I process warranties. Occasionally I get to be a gopher, and 'go fer' a check or a set of blueprints.

This just came up with one of our cruisers so I want to make this perfectly clear. I will also edit the first page to remove the important dates (since they have all passed) and add this information.

Every single person who goes on this cruise must have identification. In general, this is what is permitted:

US Adults: Passport OR certified birth certificate and photo ID. There are some other documents that would be ok (including military documents) and if you question what your documents are, please email me and I will check to see if they are acceptable. Basically, you need to have proof that you are a US citizen. A photo ID shows where you live now, but doesn't prove that you are US citizen.

US Children: Passport OR certified birth certificate. They do not need to have a photo ID.

non-US citizens: Passport and possibly a Visa, depending on the country of citizenship. If you have questions on this, contact me.

Thanks Tracy.

I can't wait to find out about 23.

Who here would like to do the Kitchen Sink with Aaron and I? :)

So, when in Nassau we really don't have any plans. James is doing the Segway Tour, and that's about it. We thought we'd walk to the Straw Market. How long will it take to walk around the Straw Market? Do we need cash for the Straw Market?

I would think so. Some of the vendors probably take credit cards though. Your Key to the World card will not work though.:lmao:

Cash for the Straw Market and the Sticks Market...But you'd better bring something more substantial for the Bricks Market. ;) Just sayin'...

Ahem!!! I'm Riiiight Heeeuuurrre!!!!(to quote a Mindy)

As an aside...I, too, am slowing down in honor of AskTracy... Lost my head for a bit. BUT I have noticed in the last few pages...

Cruise questions
Pirate Museum and other Nassau pics
Photo ID warnings

IS THIS THREAD BECOMING CRUISE-RELATED?!?!?!
   :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:
