So, if we just wanted to walk around in Nassau, I understand that we can get to the Straw Market by walking. But, can we get to thinks like Hard Rock Cafe or the downtown or are we going to need to take a taxi?

It looks within easy walking distance from the pier. (via Google Earth)

Hi Everyone-

I can't believe you guys are almost finishing thread #7 - I can't keep up!
I haven't been around alot, it has been a rough 6 weeks or so for my family. My mother in law was battling pancreatic cancer and past away last Sunday.
It has been especially rough for my husband who was there w/her until the end. Every free minute he had not at work or school he spent w/her in Brooklyn where she lived, which is about 1 hour away from us so it's been alot of back and forth.

The good news is that we are really looking forward to the cruise and can go now without feeling guilt or fear that something might happen while we are away.

Looking forward to meeting everyone!

Andrea

I am so sorry, I went through that with both my parents last year and understand how difficult and draining it is.
You are in my thoughts :grouphug:

No one knows how the mysterious webmasters work their magic, but I feel that we may be close, my friend. We may be close. Once we get over 250 pages, THAT is when you really have to post strategically if you desire the coveted final post in an old thread or first post in a new thread.

I will be at work today. Will you do me the honor of celebrating it and taking a snooze for me?

TIA:laughing:

That doesn't stop one of my supervisors - she has to have an hour nap every day at work or she leaves early. :sad2:

My son loves any amusement park. We loved Hershey. Here is a very funny video I took of Michael at Hershey.

IIt seemed like most of the walk was through the building. There was only 1
other ship in port when we were there.

The Pirate Museum looks good too...

my MIL passed from Pancreatic cancer as well.

I am starting to feel guilty about not planning the cruise/trip more now!

I am freaking out over the dance stuff I have to get done and getting nervous about doing my solo...the group is going to video it tomorrow for an application to perform at a local arts celebration. :scared1: no pressure :scared1:

:crazy2: :hyper:

I have plenty of time for trip planning right? :scared:

I see someone else is tracking the details......just a couple more pages until we hit that magic mark.

And since I was not around over the weekend when Miss Brandie blamed the post count on me, I should deflect the blame to J-Kim. I just DIS at work and have the tendency to talk often. But work is starting to pick up again (as well as AskTracy asked us to slow down) so I fear the frequency of my posting may decrease. I am not abdicating. Just taking a step towards moderation.princess:

Of course you have time. It is a vacation after all. In the trip report that Nicole posted a few pages back, the family of 5 booked about a month out and had a fabulous time!

Break a leg with your video!!!

I though about you over the weekend, more specifically due to your dancing. There was an advert on the wall of the bar we were at for an upcoming Arabian night and it showed people in (what I would consider) belly dancing clothes.
