In pictures those cabins look h-u-g-e with veranda for miles, and I think people who are not handicapped have stayed in them. Obviously wouldn't want to deprive someone who really needs it. I've always wondered how they got in there.

Maybe AskTracy knows. Maybe it's like an "upgrade" if those aren't booked at the time of sailing...:confused3

You can book one of these if they are available anytime, but if you do not have a medical form, you may be bumped if someone needing an accessible room comes along. When we get closer to the sail date, they will open up these rooms for anyone to book.

I've been in 8100 (a friend's daughter needed the accessibility) and they are very nice rooms. The verandah is very large. The rooms at the back of deck 6 have an incredibly large verandah.

Sounds reasonable. I'm sure no one wants to HAVE to have these room and would understand being bumped.

What Cat are those rooms? Do the Walt and Roy suites have numbers?

The rooms on deck 8 are category 3 staterooms. The Walt Suite is 8030 and the Roy Suite is 8530.

The ones on deck 7 are category 5 staterooms and on deck 6 they are category 6 rooms.

there's also category 4 on deck 8...

deck 8 has cat 1, 2, 3, and 4...

there are two cat 1 staterooms, two cat 2 staterooms, i don't know how many cat 3 rooms (4 in the midship area and then a bunch of others), and a lot of cat 4 - known as the family verandah staterooms i think....

are there any inside staterooms on deck 8? I don't recall....
