Becky. I seriously am not planning on bringing a jacket. I'm not even wearing a tie. I doubt they refuse to seat me. I'd say not to worry. :)

I think georgemoe's advice is appropriate. The more I think about it the more sure I am that dinner jackets are not required. I can't guarantee I won't be wearing something powder blue or ruffle-y, but thems are chances y'all will have to take.

Dinner jackets are not required in the dining rooms. I have heard (though I haven't verified this, but will when I'm onboard) that they have even loosened up the restrictions for eating in Palo (that a jacket is not required). What was quoted is what the suggestions are for wearing on dress up night. This used to be called Formal Night and they have changed it to dress up night (why? No one wants to get soooooo dressed up on the shorter cruises). Do you want me to take pictures in the dining room so you can see how everyone dresses?

I'm going on vacation and I want to be comfortable. And this includes beer. ;)

Ah, behold the power of beer! :cloud9: I'm not bringing a jacket. I'm bringing several killer Disney Hawaiian shirts though! I'll be wearing what's comfortable. :thumbsup2

Are you calling us boring material? :confused3

Congrats Becky!!
Oh heavens no!! I posted that while I was in class last night...boring topic so I whipped out the iPhone on break to see what was happening in here! :cool1:

Yes, that is a great idea! :thumbsup2

Anitawood and I have never cruised before either. I don't own a tux and don't expect to be renting or buying one. If we did have to dress up I was thinking something like this only if necessary.

Seems like even the above would be over dressing. If I could get away with it I'd have shorts or a bathing suit on all day. It will probably be more like shorts/t during the day and slacks/polo at night. I'm going on vacation and I want to be comfortable. And this includes beer. ;)

What a beautiful couple.:goodvibes

So is Alicia here for the day? Or will she just be flitting in and out? :rotfl:

We'll do something for pirate night...not sure what yet...

Alicia is flitting in and out. Does that mean I can't play? :cool2:

I didn't post much on the closed thread. I have a question about cruising in general.

How much luggage is there room for? And where can we put it in the cabin? I hate clutter. We always shove it in the closet nook in a hotel room.

Looky looky, who I found on page 2 . :teeth:

I know. You're trying to show new people/lurkers that we do sometimes talk about cruise stuff. And even though he is traveling with me and can ask me to post for him, he is trying to be a part of the community, right?

So Todd are you dressing up for pirate night?
