My Dad used to train labs for duck hunting.

He is way too cute for his own good - I give in whenever he looks at me. Actually most people think he his a girl dog since his face is so "soft"

I have only seen retrievers working on the outdoor channel but I think it would be fun to work with a water dog. I am thinking of getting another brittany but haven't found a rescue dog that would be good companion for Brody and a hunting buddy for him also. So I will wait until I find the appropriate sibling.

I love this one. He looks so dang proud of himself!

Brody loves to hunt - which is why we do it. I don't actually shoot - I just tag along and be a proud Mamma. (I keep saying I am going to get a shot gun but I havne't yet.) It is fun to watch him do what comes naturally. Although if the bird is too "hamburgerish" Brody won't retrieve it - he doesn't like nasty bird innards - and since we do this for fun I don't force him.

I posted video on my FB page. He is 100 times better than I thought he would be. He cried when he had to get off the ice. Saturday we are going to Mellon Arena and get to watch the Penguins practice. Then he gets to practice on the ice.

Good. It felt like I spent all weekend playing hockey.
