Empress midian - I can't figure out how to search to find her specifically...

chicken!

I'm too involved in mob wars already, my attention span it too short to focus on another one. I tried vampire wars and got bored with it quickly.

I'm convinced I will never keep up with this thread

Wow part 4 started less than a week ago and already there is over a 100 pages!!!!

I cant wait for the cruise I am officially in double digits until our vacation! :goodvibes

Nearly 200.......(hint hint goal for day)

I'm here for another hour or so, then I have to go run errands with the Grandparents - woohoo.

If you can get the other ladies off of Fashion wars then you could probably make it!!!

I'm quite convinced I could do it by talking to myself.:goodvibes :goodvibes :lmao: :goodvibes

We missed you while you were gone!! We have to make up for lost time!!

How are you feeling btw?

Absolutely fine. :) :) :) Can't you tell? :p :p :p

But that does segue nicely into something that I was going to ask....

Are there any other Type 1 diabetics going on the Podcast cruise?? :crazy2:
I know Pete said something a few weeks ago about him being freshly diagnosed, but I am thinking he is a type 2.

And on a even longer shot....any body else have an insulin pump???:confused3

Geez one day away and you have all gone wild.:hyper:
Guess I better get reading so I can catch up. :)

Speaking of this and other medical issues. If you have a medical condition that "could" require medical attention, you should fill out a medical form. If you need one, just email me. Those on insulin need to have a sharps container and a refrigerator which you can only get with a medical form. We need to note your reservation. Allergies too. You wouldn't want something to happen and the medical staff onboard to not know what is wrong when a simple form could have taken care of the problem.

I know Kevin is diabetic - not sure if he's type 1 or 2 though.

Diabetes is tough. My grandmother is diabetic and she can certainly tell when your sugar levels are low. We've even got to a point where we can tell too by her actions. If you go on to the DISabilities board, there might be some diabetics going.

Between what I've seen on the Cruise board and the DISabilities board, I know to bring 2-3 times my normal supplies, test often, be prepared for unexpected lows and yada yada yada. Just wanted to know if I was alone. It is more comforting to have other peeps who know what you're about.

I'll be happy to give you shots when your tipsy. My sister is a type 1 since age 12 so I am good at sticking people with needles!!

Emiel is a diabetic but a type 2 and as of right now just on pills.

We discovered that he is diabetic just the end of Oct. and still learning how to handle this and turn our lives up side down, but this is working for him (and me).

So was the incident you had last week - was that from the diabetes or was that something totally different?

Don't mind me, I'm just being nosy!!

I have a pump, so I don't take shots. It looks like a beeper (old school) and works like a portable IV/insulin drip. I can pretty much live like the rest of the "un-sweetened" population.
