Does it drive anyone else crazy when people have HD TVs and watch standard definition TV on it all the time? My parents have regular cable hooked up to their LCD and it makes me crazy.

I thought it would be a no-brainer, that I'd get the HD tv and have satellite which would get HD....but I blame my neighbors' trees, I can't get the satellite HD dish/receiver, because it's too blocked....grrrrrrrr....

Donuts are my FAVORITE!!!!!!!!!! :hyper:

I prefer Krispy Kreme over DD though. But hey, I ain't turning down ANY donut. I don't care where it comes from.

I can't stand Krispy Kreme anymore. When they tried to open up here in Canada, they opened a location next door to my fire hall. We would be winding down our night shift as they fired up the morning baking. The smell of the grease would come into our office around 5 am. On a foggy day, the grease would be speckled all over the cars in the parking lot.

They closed down and were replaced by a family restaurant. Now the grease will still be all over the cars, but instead of donut grease smell, I get the bacon smell first thing in the morning. :thumbsup2

Ugh, that would make me mad. Darn trees. :rotfl:

Ok, that sounds really, really gross. If you are in Canada it's Tim Hortons all the way.

That used to be my favorite thing about going to Rochester (NY) every Thanksgiving....stopping at Tim Horton's along the 401 for a Hot Chocolate and a Butter Tart. Still taste better across the river though...

DD and I are Roller Coaster junkies. We would love to go. Unfortunately CP is just too far from us. :sad2:

Ds11 and I are the rooler coaster junkies in this house.:thumbsup2
Dh will only do Test track.
I love them all.:woohoo:

When we were with DishNetwork, we had to cut down a couple of 60+ year old trees in order to get the HD signal. Then, I changed my mind and switched to DirecTV and learned we didn't have to cut them after all. :sad2: Their satellite was in a different part of the sky. Anyway, the ground shook when the trees fell. I really dislike cutting down trees. Makes me feel guilty.
:guilty:

Umm..yea...if its on an HD channel I'm watching it. What annoys me almost as much is when people watch it with the bars on the side....yuk...

When I hooked up my LCD TV to the cable it decoded the digital cable. It decoded about 15 TV channels and 30 music channels. I just up-graded my cable to the HD box with the DVR. I don't know how I lived with-out the DVR. That is the greatest invention.:thumbsup2

UHH....YEA! Preacher = YOU Choir = ME!

I haven't been to Canada in a long time. Maybe once the weather clear I will go for a drive. I love Niagara Falls.

I wouldn't worry about us too much...the majority of us will already be quite buzzed by the time you meet us anyway! :rotfl2:

Are you referring to the cruise or the Poly meet? This is why I'm doing the Poly meet before the cruise. Get myself good and liquored-up first and then make my grand entrance. Hopefully, making the cruise meet a bit less stressful. ::yes::

Pathetic. I know.

Hmmm, makes sense - thx dpuck :thumbsup2 To continue your hose analogy...is it that the 4 ports each have a quarter of the power regardless how many are in use. That is, if I am using all 4 usb ports they each get a quarter power each but if I use only 2 usb ports then they each get half the power? Or is it that once the ports are split (4 ports from 1) their power cannot be rejoined? :confused3 Or have I just totally confused you :lmao:

cheers,
:flower3:

The analogy isn't that simple, but in short yes. The first port gets a certain amount and it does down from there. Its not spread over them based on usage. This is the readers digest version, but the real engineering it boring and doesn't make sense...to me at least.
