Got the insignia blu-ray just before xmas. If anyone is in the market, best buys store brand in insignia and it roxs. Not full of a bunch of features that most people don't use, but I got mine for 149 on sale.

My house was built around two things, a big wine cooler and a 14 inch digital frame. I LOVE IT! Its in my dinette/kitchen area and currently holds over 3000 photos.

That is good to know about Insignia. We've seen it plenty of times there, but never know about the brand.

And, it's also good to know about the big wine cooler in case I'm ever in the neighborhood.

I need Netflix. :)

Talk to me about digital frames. What is this frame you have? Gimme gimme.

So this photopass that Don and Yvet were chatting about....I think I get how it works, but someone wanna give me a Cliff's Notes recap? (And does it apply to the just the theme parks or the cruise line, too?)

I'll give it a shot. Theme Parks only, you can pre-purchase online for a trip, cost approx 99 bucks, you collect photo pass cards and apply them online to your CD, no limit on the number of photos, you can even share with others (see budget board), You can customize them with signatures, boarders and stamps, so far the only ride that you can use with photopass is Test Track. I think thats it!

drool.....working for RIM has to be pretty awesome! I wish I could get the Storm, but the curve is the best my carrier offered.

I am currently on my second Pearl. As nice as the new flip Pearl is..I can't take the keyboard anymore.

I have a new curve sitting on my kitchen table waiting for swtich over...I need a QWERTY keyboard!!!!

Ok I did my exercise, now I need to get lunch & get back to sewing...oh yeah - and that laundry...:laundy:
forget comando - I was out of clean long johns this morning! :cold: We are only a block and a half from the school so I refuse to drive. Too bad my subdivision is a wind tunnel. Although it couldn't have been that bad this morning - the kids were allowed to stay out before the bell...

And who do I ask about those fabulous graphics - cruise & I supported GKTW shirts...haven't had time too look into this.

ETA: There is a girl GKTW one too....lol...one even if you aren't blond lol

That is correct.
Parks only.
And we collected 180 photo's when we were at Disney in December.
Now i'm additing borders and resizing the photo's and from the 180 photo's i've had, i turned them into 2490 sp far and i'm still not done.

I pre-ordered the Photopass CD ($99) and the photobook together, that is an special for $149.
If you just order the photobook that is $69 and the photopass CD is $125.
The photopass CD you can pre order it and then it will be $99.

Since we've got some gadget guys on here - let me ask a question...

DH upgraded my monitor for me for Christmas (yes, he's a geek) and it has usb ports on it. I thought it would be great to hook up all my gadget cables so I don't have to plug and unplug them from the front of my system (only 1 free usb port left). However, today when I'm charging our GPS and iPod for a few days away, it is taking forever to charge compared to being plugged into the system directly. Is this possible or is it my imagination that the monitor usb ports take longer? :confused3

cheers,
:flower3:

I have a 14 in westinghouse with slots for almost all major memory cards. It has some neat features, but overall I'm not crazy about it. The only real problem I have with it is when I go over 3500 photos or so. It seems to not like it when I put too many photos on an SD card. Forget trying to get that many on an Compaq Flash!! Besides that, it works fine and has been plugging away for over a year. I had a small kodak one that just up and died after about a year of constant use.

I'm 100 percent with you on that. I need a full keyboard, my wife had the 8100 for a long time and it was a POS!

Totally possible, since your expanding 1 port into several you are really just breaking up that one port into several smaller ones. There are some engineering details involved, but think of taking a hose and breaking into 4 smaller hoses, your getting a lot of water thru the big hose, but with the 4 attached they will all only get 1/4 the stream...

Gadget talk! Got me a Samsung blu-ray player that streams Netflix for Christmas. Set it up with the rest of the system on my Harmony 880 remote.

I have the 880 too. I love it.

I feel like we are in a BluRay holding pattern. We just can't seem to find the exact one we want. Also, we need a new TV because we only have 1 HDMI. I know there are ways around that, but we are looking for an excuse to buy a new one.

How do you like the Netflix downloads? I think I would like that. Do they has TV series on that?

Well...I guess we've found Don's sweet spot...

Just whisper sweet gadgets in his ear...:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
