It's not that I don't like my in-laws. They dont' really like me. :confused3
No, it's not the end of the world. I'm sitting in a chair right now that smells like a dog's butt, but otherwise, life is good.

And, we are making quite the impression. The MIL thinks my kids are a tad spoiled. So, as I am sitting here on my laptop, DD8 gets out her laptop. Then DD11 gets out her laptop. The three of us are sitting playing our laptops. In defense of my spoiled children, my dad gave DD8 an old laptop, and DD11 got our old one.

My FRIENDS on the DIS need to stay active today on this thread to give me something to do.

Nicole, my in-laws don't like me either. They still have a "relationship" with my hubby's ex-wife. They take her to lunch once a month and give her money all the time. They have only seen my 2 year old 3 times since she was born... and they forgot her last birthday... the kicker is, they live less than 20 miles away.

Sorry you have to sit in a chair that smells like dog butt. Ga-ross.

DD just saw my post. 55 more days until the cruise she yells. MIL says, "you're going on a cruise???" Did I mention that MIL thinks that my children are spoiled??? Did I mention that MIL thinks that I am ridiculous that I go to WDW so much. She says to James, "Does Nicole not realize that there are other places in the world to visit?" DUH, I go to Epcot!

OMGosh! That is so funny! My hubby is a world traveler. Before we got married, he traveled at least once a month to crazy, wonderful countries. His passport is fun to look at and so colorful.

I told him a week after we met that if I want to see the world, I will go to Epcot!

Good morning. It is going to be a long day. Mom and I make our own spaghetti sauce and today is the day. I am on a break right now. After chopping up a large onion my eyes need a break from the kitchen. A huge pot is on the stove right now simmering. We let it go for at least 3 hours. After it is finished cooking we are making a lasagna with the fresh sauce. Then we have to portion it all out for freezing. A lot of work, but it is worth it.

So what is everyone else doing today?

Kim

I bet your house smells terrific! I used to love it when my grandpa made his "gravy". If I close my eyes, I can almost smell it.

I am going to do as little as possible today!! I cleaned out both of my kitchen pantries yesterday and now my poor joints are sore. I may go to my moms to pick up my birth certificate, of I may wait until tomorrow. I think I may sew a dress or two later.

Tomorrow my son is coming home from college for spring break. I haven't seen him since January. I am excited that he is coming home and even more excited that he leaves in less than a week! :cool1:

DD8 is peeling eggs right now. I am a horrible mother, because I hate eggs. I don't have a clue how to boil an egg. MIL is amazed that they have never had hard boiled eggs.
yum! deviled eggs - going to make some now! see how easily influenced I am?? As for boiling the egg (I really hope you were kidding but just in case you aren't), boil the egg in salt water for 10-15 min and then soak in ice water for the shell to be removed easily. I was a teenager when my big sis first called home to ask me how to boil an egg. I thought she was kidding. After I picked myself up off the floor from laughing so hard, I explaining these same steps to her and she's been cooking them ever since.

I'm not kidding. I don't like eggs. DH doesn't really care. I suppose if I made him potato salad, he'd love it. But, not a big deviled egg person.

Earlier this week I was anxiously waiting for a travel agent to call me back so I could book a group cruise for next year that I am excited about. Well my phone starts ringing and I grab it quick with excitemnt and it's a darn recording from Delta Airlines telling me about a time change in my May 9th flight. I'm like aaaaaaaaack. I just want it to hurry up and give me the info so I can hang up the darn phone. This is the first time I have ever gotten one of these recorded messages about a flight change. It is usually an email. My flight now leaves at 6:50am. :scared1: But it arrives at 9:30am.

:goodvibes
We arrive at the same time!

Hi Peeps!

The temps are climbing here. Despite the overcast skies it's a good day to be outside. Unfortunately, our taxes are calling. :headache:

Well, MIL DID fix my sweatshirt, so she scores a point from me. When I couldn't get pregnant, there HAD to be something with me. When she comes to my house she tells me my kids are brats and spoiled. She tells me that she wishes she had a week in my house so that she could clean it (it's clean, just not organized the best in all places, you know, the basement storage room). DH is a better cook. So MIL just thinks DH can do no wrong, and he's too good for me. I told him to tell her how good I am in bed, and that'd shut her up :)

It's 50 degrees here. It's supposed to wamr up tomorrow. Wish we had something to do today

:rolleyes1

Thanks, Don. James downloaded AVG Anti-Virus. It is taking FOREVER to scan. If it doesn't work, I'll give the one you suggested a try. I have never had a virus before. DD's laptop has nothing on it, except internet and some games, so we're not going to lose anything, but it's a pain!!!

AVG is good also, I've used both and still use both depending on the computer.

Ask tracy ?

I have been listening to the podcasts and it seems Kevin, John and Pete like arriving to the port to get on the boat later on around 2 or 2:30pm...I think I would like to arrive around this time as well. We are staying at the Dolphin Hotel on May 9th. do they have a late check out? and if so what time can I push it till?

thanks!
