first ever complaint for Disney (disappointed guest)

I love Disney so much and magic bands but it's been bright to my attention that Disney has let its guests down I write my first complaint email I don't expect anything in return but now I am warning other guests of what I think is wrong that Disney chose to do.
"let me start off saying i am a huge disney fan i try to go home about 2-3 times a year, and I've never been let down before, always top notch service. which is why I'm heart sick having to write this email, Halloween 2015 i attended the Mickeys halloween party and had the limited magic band that light the fast pass and entrance scanners and gave a howl! it was so much fun. however getting ready for my upcoming trip as you can see by the reservation, and i went ahead an ordered the limited easter band i was so excited about it and then today (still waiting for mine to arrive) i saw it used in the park tweeting snow whites blue bird a very festive sound, however I've been informed it only works at the entrance scanner not the fast pass, and its been going around the valentines day was the same, i paid More for the easter band as i did my halloween band but i get less! I'm very saddened that disney would do this and honestly this has made me regret even getting the band at all i was looking forward to the random of it activating when using fast pass, ill be honest knowing thaw this is at least the second limited band to have this setting is just cruel if its not gonna work everywhere lower the price to the ones that do! i honestly just feel cheated and I'm praying this doesn't affect my upcoming vacation experience but i wanted to reach out and let you know whats going on is wrong! i may be wrong in my info but every source I've found says that both the Santa, valentines and the easter (which easter i bought) only work at the entrance if its true after years of limited bands working everywhere someone needs to stand up and just say this is WRONG please don't think of me as what cast members call "treasured guest" I'm just honestly an upset guest the first time disney has let me down. -With all due respect Cameron Watkins"

So that us the letter I wrote I seriously think it is very unfair that they raided the price of theses limited bands but instead of adding effects they took them away. Know that it has been confirmed all magicbands have been raised in price not only the limited edition but all band prices by 12%
I'll say it again charging more but giving back less is not the Disney I know
I'm tempted to give a call in person but I hate confrontation and it's my first actual complaint but I feel strongly that p inside Disney need to know this isn't right

I'm going to GUESS that it will WORK everywhere like any other MB.
But, it may not make its special sound anywhere but the entrance gate(??)

Here is my advice and just take it for what it is worth to you. To me, this is a very minor concern and I wouldn't spend any time giving it a second thought. You don't even know if it is accurate. Just don't sweat the small stuff. Of course, "small stuff" is different from person to person.

Oh-and have fun. :)

Cameron ~ take the MagicBand and the receipt and you can get a refund when you reach the parks. To have paid $33 for something that will make you unhappy every time you scan it at the FP Tapstile, just return it.

I am struggling to understand what your complaint is about. Are you angry because you paid extra money for a holiday magic band, and have discovered they already make a special sound for people and you think they shouldn't yet as it isn't close enough to the holiday? You are seriously worried that your entire vacation will be ruined because you will only potentially hear a chirp upon entering a park and not at a fast pass tapstile? I'm sorry, but for someone that can apparently afford to travel to Disney multiple times per year, to be that upset about a relatively small price increase for an unnecessary perk seems a tad unreasonable.

This. You expected more from what you purchased and it didn't deliver. I know you are disappointed, so I would agree the best thing might be to take it back and get your money back. No need to let a magic band ruin your trip. :)
 
Disney is the happiest place on earth...but it's apparent this board isn't. I guess every where in life you will find the rude people. Looking for things to poke fun at. What do people call them? Internet trolls? He didn't ask if you liked his letter or his grammar. In the words of thumper. "If you can't say something nice, don't say nothing at all."
 
Sorry you are disappointed. Now that you know, you can decide if you want to keep it or return it. $33 seems like a lot to hear a bird chirp- even 4 times a day, but certainly only once.
 
I have one of the bands that triggers a sound and I've never had it be quiet enough in a park environment to actually hear the sound.:duck:

I get it! I bought this band...I am not a frequent traveler to Disney, but we will be there on Easter so I bought one thinking it would be fun. It's also close to my birthday so I gave myself a little treat even though the limited edition bands are expensive. I was disapointed to learn it will only light up and chirp at the entrance. I think the band itself is pretty cute though and since it says 2016 inside I think I'm going to use it as a Christmas tree ornament. My children will enjoy seeing the special sounds and hearing the chirp...if it acutally happens, and if we can hear it. lol. But I understand your disapointment! I think it's good you wrote to Disney. Speaking up as consumers is valuable, even if it doesn't immediately change anything. And I totally think you should return it if you're unhappy. Nevertheless I hope you have a happy Easter and get to enjoy some extra pixie dust on your trip:tinker:!!

He didn't ask if you liked his letter or his grammar.

But when people are writing to a business, in order to get something or express themselves, it's IMPORTANT that the letter be easy to understand. And the OP's wasn't.

You make a terrific point. I know I likely wouldn't be able to hear any of it, since I have a hearing loss in the upper register of sounds.
