I am kinda lost. I booked a very last minute trip just now (to me anyway we are 30 days out) after I received a pin code to stay at Coronado this Holiday season, so I couldn't resist! My husband and I are going solo for a combined birthday celebration, and not planning on doing any parks. We just returned recently, and plan on going back for a week in May with our son. We have NEVER done Disney without doing the parks! What should we do? I already have an ADR for California Grill at 9pm on a MVMCP night, so we are looking forward to catching the fireworks without paying to get INTO the MK and fighting the crowds.

How many nights?

Relax by the pool
Disney Springs to eat, drink, shop, listen to music
Mini golf or regular golf
Ride the Monorail and resort hop with drops at Trader Sam’s & Enchanted Rose
Ride the skyliner
Boat over to WL to see the geyser, see the lobby, and hang on the water at Geyser Point

We are only doing three night, four days. Flying in early on Friday, and a later flight on Monday.

Yes! We have to do the skyliner since it was closed while we were there recently. I forgot about Enchanted Rose too! Thank you!

We are fans of Jellyrolls on the Boardwalk for an evening's entertainment. There is a cover charge, but the piano players are a lot of fun.

Go to AKL, watch some animals, check out all the artifacts/artwork in the hallways. Have lunch at Sanaa

My husband and I have never done a resort only stay but some of our favorite resort “date nights” include a nice relaxing evening at the Tiki Terrace at Poly sipping some wine or drinks and getting some small plates to share. Afterwards you could easily take the resort launch to the MK dock and then either get a bus back to your resort or jump back on the launch for a pleasant round trip or even get on the WL launch and go look around at that resort and back.
We love some of the resort lounges and most of them offer some really good small plates that can be shared as a light dinner (but we are light eaters)
You could do the same at the new GF Enchanted Rose bar.
Resort hopping to look around is always a nice thing to do and of course Disney Springs.
Or if its warm enough a nice relaxing pool day.

We planned a similar trip for January, although we have now booked MK DAH and will probably do a day at Epcot for the Festival of Arts.

But some of the non park plans were to spend a night on the Boardwalk, there’s plenty to do there. The brewery, piano bar, dance hall, espn club, and my fav Abracadabar.

We also plan to do a monorail loop bar crawl, have dinner at Bull & Bear over at the Waldorf and of course Disney Springs.

These are all wonderful ideas! Thank you!

We will definitely need to check out the Boardwalk and resort hop to the lounges. I hope it will be warm enough to swim! I know several years ago we went during Thanksgiving and it was. I may save Disney Springs for our check out day since we have a later flight.

You might want to think having dinner at Disney Springs and then go through the Festival of the Trees. I was impressed when we went for the first last year.
That would be nice! Do you think it would be better to do Disney springs in the evening then instead of during the day? I've never seen the Festival of Trees before.

I don't think anyone mention this yet but definitely make a reservation for Raglan Road in Disney Springs. It's a must! They have live Irish bands and dancers performing every day/night of the week. Very entertaining and fun! Walking around the Boardwalk and dipping into the Abracadabra Bar for a drink is a good one too. You will love California Grill and catching the fireworks from up there! I love doing Disney as an adult only trip, so fun. Enjoy!!

Lots of Disney Springs and Resort Hopping.

Definitely the Boardwalk area including the surrounding hotels to go with the monorail loop.

I'd hit Disney Spring every day, but especially at night.

Enjoy!

Just a thought.....
Do you have an AP? if you just got back, are going again now, and again in May, it sounds like you go to WDW often enough to consider one. Might it be worthwhile?

Plus, that way, if you change your mind and want to visit the parks, you could do so. We went on a 10 day trip once and I booked an extra single day at the GF with no park tickets just to spend time and enjoy the resort. We were staying RPC club level and I thought that it would be a nice relaxing end to the vacation. It was, but........
I kept looking at the MK all day long.....just sayin'.

I would honestly go in the evening. There is a lot more entertainment in the evenings. its amazing! And since you have time, i'd probably take two trips to disney springs. There are so many fabulous restaurants and shops there.

We could easily spend a week hopping to different lounges and trying drinks and snacks, browsing at Disney Springs, resort hopping, mini-golf, going to restaurants with evening entertainment. All of the things we never make enough time for.

We don't have annual passes, but we REALLY should have already invested in getting them. I have been telling my husband for years that we would be saving A TON by having them! I was going to upgrade our tickets to an AP a few weeks ago , but next May and Dec we are booked with a free dining bounce back, and it was mandatory to book four day hopper tickets with the package. I keep doing the math, and as of now, without any discounts on rooms, for those two trips we are saving around $4000 by getting the free dining plan.
