First DVC trip - to check in online or at the resort

Not sure if this has been asked, coudn't find a clear answer. So, we're going in Nov/Dec for our fisrt visit since we joined DVC. I've never used the online check in option before, but I understand the intention is that it is to be used for people who don't need all the explaination and whatnot from the front desk. Is that correct? I'm wondering if I'd be better off doing the manual check in and skipping online check in since I've never been to a DVC resort before. thoughts?

Thanks. I had seen that thread, but it doesn't mention anything about any information they may offer during the regular check in process that may be more helpful to a first time visitor to the resort. I'm wondering more specifically if anyone thinks there are bennefits to regular check in vs. online check in for a first time DVC visitor

In doing both, I have not really noticed a difference in the inforamtion presented at check-in. You get the same packet, maps of the resort (with explanations), taking of credit card number, KTTW card usage explanations, and welcome home. I think the difference is that the front desk is able to allocate a room to the online check-in people as soon as they become available.

Personally, I like online check-in. the process is quick.
