First DLR Trip was magical! TR (3/09) Heading back for more magic! TR w/pics (4/10)

:thumbsup2 We got confirmation yesterday that our Adventures by Disney trip has been "officially" booked. Yea!!!!!!

:cool1::cool1::cool1: Doing a "California Dreamin' Happy Dance" right now!!! :cool1::cool1::cool1:

The "baby" of our family turns four years old this weekend. I hate having to change the children's ages in my signature. The years are flying by way too quickly for me. We're having a pool party on Sunday. The theme is ... :fish: Finding Nemo :fish:

DD6 and I are making the birthday cake. This will be my first time working with fondant. With the humidity in Texas right now, we'll see how it goes.

With our upcoming WDW trips, this Pre-Trip Report had been put on hold. Now that all our ADRs have been booked for WDW, I can focus on our April California trip plans ...

:surfweb: Jennifer

:wizard:
We added two nights on at the beginning of the ABD Tour at The Renaissance Hollywood Hotel.
So, we will be in California from April 11th - April 18th. One FULL week in sunny California. I can't wait! :woohoo:

:wizard:
DH rented us a convertible for Monday - Tuesday.
So, we can get out of LA and see the coast and "maybe" venture up to Sonoma Valley and/or Napa Valley if time permits.

:wizard:
We booked our flight yesterday.
We were hoping for some great fare. But, we just didn't see any great deals out of Dallas/Fort Worth Int'l Airport or Dallas Lovefield Airport. So, we are driving down to Austin (about a three hour drive) for a direct flight from Austin to LAX.

As you can see, the plans are coming together. :woohoo: However, time just keeps passing VERY slowly. This is going to be a very long next six months. :rolleyes1

I hope you stick with me. ;)

:goodvibes Jennifer

11 days until we head east for some fun in the Florida sun! :cool1:

:surfweb: Once we get back, I will devote more time to this Trip Report.

:wizard: I am very excited for this upcoming WDW trip for Thanksgiving and the week after. I love the parks and resorts all decorated for the holidays. It is truly magical.

:wizard: We will be home for a total of four days before we head back to WDW. This time we are flying. DH, DS4 and I are heading back for DAP. DS9 and DD7 can't miss anymore school after the prior weeks absence. I am VERY excited to hear Marty Sklar speak. That is what sold me on attendng DAP and of course riding TSM over and over again. I can't wait to see DS4's face! He loves that ride. We aren't telling the older children where we are going until we get back. For now all they know is that Mommy and Cole are going with Daddy to attend a conference. It is sorta true. I'm waiting patiently for our credentials. That trip won't feel real until I receive that envelope. :rolleyes1

:wizard: Yesterday, DH booked us for a 2011 cruise on the Disney Dream. :cloud9: Have you seen the concept art? It looks amazing! I can't wait to slide down (and up) the Aqua Duck. That was always one disappointment about the Wonder and Magic, adults couldn't go on the slides. We'll be onboard for the Thanksgiving holiday. :worship: For that, I will be truly thankful!

:wizard: Last but certainly not least, we have THIS ABD trip coming up in April.

So many trips to keep track of. It's a nice problem to have. ;) (Mind you, these are just the Disney trips we have planned. It will be a busy upcoming year. We also plan to visit some National Parks and tour Texas a bit with the kids. Texas is a BIG state with so many different regions. We still haven't seen so much of it.)

 We board a shiny Southwest plane in 27 days!!!

We're heading to California for our Adventures by Disney trip with the Podcast Crew. I can't believe how quickly this trip is approaching.

We recently received some great and very special news only for our trip ... :worship: we get to have breakfast at Club 33. It will be opened just our group. I can't wait! The whole trip was going to be a "once in a lifetime" experience, but eating at Club 33 really topped it off. :woohoo: We get to take as many pictures as we want in Club 33 and even shop in their exclusive shop.

I will definitely be posting pictures from this amazing trip. :wizard:

DH and I are still trying to finalize our non-ABD days in Hollywood and even our free time while at Disneyland.

:wizard: DH confirmed a convertible rental for Monday. So, we plan to take the PCH north from LA towards Pebble Beach/Monterey. At first, I wanted to talk him into Napa Valley and/or Sonoma Valley. But, those are way too far north. So, those will have to wait for another trip. Yes, we are already talking about returning to California this fall. Only this time, we're bringing the kids along. :dance3:

Also, we plan to see Alice in Wonderland at the El Capitan Theatre. It is right across the street from our hotel. Hopefully, it will still be playing during our trip.

:wizard: DH also made us a PS at Steakhouse 55 at the Disneyland Hotel. We have a free dinner night while on the ABD at Disneyland. At first we thought to do Napa Rose. But, after reading reviews and looking at the menus, we both decided Steakhouse 55 was more our "style".

We have a full day in LA still not planned. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated ...

Also, we need some great LA dinner spots.

....Club 33:goodvibes. Is that part of the ABD trip or something you guys are doing by yourselves?? Reason why I ask is I can't figure out if this is an ABD thing & if so, then perhaps I need to rethink doing a rope drop at DL am of day 6 of my trip.

Q: what day is this Club 33 breakfast happening??

Would appreciate any assiatance here as I am trying to understand if I also need to adjust my plans for my trip.

Anywho -

Enjoy yours & take plenty of pics:goodvibes. I am subscribed as I can't wait to see how yours is.

:wizard: The Club 33 breakfast is something arranged with ABD and the DIS Unplugged/Dreams Unlimited people. It took some contract signing and I am sure a first born. So, I wouldn''t expect it on a "regular" ABD CA Backstage Magic Tour this year. However, it did pique the interest of the ABD people and they have been asking us for what other "blue sky" things we'd like for this trip. So, I wouldn't be surprised if it is added next year. That is just my opinion though. ;)

:rolleyes1 We have waited almost a year for our Adventures by Disney trip. For awhile there, I thought the day would never come. Now with less than two weeks from our departure date, the time is going by so quickly. Sometimes too quickly. I have so much to do in preparation for this trip. Isn't that always how it is?

I don't blog. So, I will tell you all about the trip when we get back with lots and lots of pictures. Are there any pictures in particular y'all want to see? If so, please let me know. Thanks!!!
