So I am checkign in on May 20th and I was wondering what all will I have to do on that day. I know that we will get our housing assigned and everything but do we immedietly start training or what? Just wondering what my first couple days will be like.

This is taken directly from the WDWCP website. Just log in and click on arrival information to see all this and the videos.

Day 1
Arrive on Time
It is extremely important that you are at the Vista Way apartments no later than 1pm EST on your check-in day.
If you are flying to Orlando, please try to make flight arrangements to land no later than 11:30am EST. This will allow you time to obtain your luggage and travel to the Vista Way apartments by 1pm EST.

If you arrive after 1pm EST, you will be able to check in, but you will be delayed on all of the activities listed below.

Disney Look
It is expected that you are in compliance with all of the Disney Look Guidelines when you check-in to Vista Way.

This includes, but is not limited to, removing all body piercings (including cartilage piercings, nose piercings, and tongue rings), covering visible tattoos, and, for gentlemen, being clean shaven and fully within the guidelines regarding facial hair.

Housing Assignment
You will receive your housing assignment, review the Community Codes, and also set up payroll deduction for your weekly housing payments.

Photo ID
Your photo will be taken for your housing ID.

It is extremely important that you are within Disney Look Guidelines in regards to hair, make-up, jewelry, and body modifications when you arrive so that you are not delayed with taking your photo. Please also be sure you are not wearing a sleeveless shirt. Your photo will be taken for your ID, so your shoulders must be covered.

Background Check
For the safety and security of all of our Guests and Cast Members, all new Cast Members must undergo a criminal background check.

As part of the background-check process, it will be necessary for you to be fingerprinted. The fingerprints are then submitted to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) and the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) for further processing. On your application, you authorized this process and agreed to undergo a criminal background check prior to the start of your employment. This authorization also allows us to use this process to conduct a criminal background check on you at any time during your employment.

Parking Stickers
If you have your own vehicle, you will obtain your parking sticker. Parking is free of charge!

Housing Welcome Session Meeting
You will be scheduled for this mandatory two hour meeting when you receive your housing assignment. This meeting will take place in the late afternoon/early evening of your arrival day.

Day 2
Lifeguard Swim Test
Lifeguards may take their swim test very early on this morning at Mickey's Retreat.
Additional information on your swim test accompanies the Lifeguard Form.

I-9 Employment Authorization
You will need to have your employment eligibility documents with you so you can complete your I-9 form.

These must be originals. Photocopies of these documents can not be used to process your I-9. If you do not have the proper employment eligibility documents with you, you will not be able to attend Traditions or start your location training.

Work Location
A representative from the work locations will give you information about your role and your training schedule.

Traditions Schedule
You will receive the date and time of your Traditions class. Traditions is your company orientation class and first day of work.

NOTE: If you do not have the proper employment eligibility documents with you, you will not be able to attend Traditions or start your location training.

Course Registration
The College Education team will be present to register you for courses.

Day 3 or Day 4
Attend Traditions
You will attend Traditions, your company orientation class and first day of work, three or four days after you arrive.
NOTE: If you do not have the proper employment eligibility documents with you on Day 2, you will not be able to attend Traditions. You will not be rescheduled until you are able to provide these documents.

Day 4, Day 5, Day 6...
Work Location Training
After you have completed your Traditions class, you will begin your work location training. Some may begin this training immediately after their Traditions class. Others may have a day or two between Traditions and when their location training starts.

Your first day will be pretty easy. Everything is mostly related to housing, and depending how early you arrive, you may only be there for 45 minutes up to an hour. I would arrive early so that you can zip right through all of the stations and get the housing that you want.
