First Cruise

Just did first visit to Lookout Cay last week. The pier is long. I would recommend wearing more substantial shoes. Lots of walking required even once you get of the tram.

Bring a lanyard or Magicband + if you have one. Water bottle.

Welcome to the world of cruising!

My biggest tip would be to just relax and enjoy it! You can do as much or as little as you want on a cruise and have a great time either way. With only 3 nights you wont get to do it all, but don't be disappointed by that. Just enjoy what you DO get to do.

Also, be warned...these cruises can be addicting. My first cruise was in 1995 for my honeymoon...and I didn't think I would like cruising. 33 cruises later (29 of them Disney), I guess I thought wrong. ;)

If you have any specific questions feel free to ask. You will get a ton of info here!

On a 3 night first cruise I would skip Fish Extenders. It takes time to deliver gifts especially when it is a new to you ship and with so much going on its really not needed.

Joining a FB group for your sailing is the best way to meet people. With FE you just drop off and never really speak to people.

Congratulations David. Relax and enjoy your cruise. You have a reserved table for dinner. No need to get there early and wait in line!

Kids club question: My kid will be 4 months shy of 11 when on the Fantasy this spring. Will Disney let us sign up for the 11-14 age group?

Probably. But you won’t know until you are onboard so prepare the child for both. If your cruise is full with kids actually within the 11-14 age group they might not allow anyone to age-up.
