My mom came to visit us recently and brought a box to my DD who is in first communion class. In it were my prayer book, my first communion veil, and a photo of me on my first communion day. She also brought my dress and my sister's dress (my sister has all boys and won't be able to wear it).

Unfortunately, I just think the dresses kids wear for first communion are so much dressier now than the one I had...and it reminds me of how little money we had when I was young.

That is so sweet that she kept all that! You are right about the dresses they are so pretty now.
