My husband and I are planning a quick budget friendly trip to see the Disney Christmas decorations for the first time November 14-18. We usually go in February and this will be our first trip without the kids. We have booked All star music to keep it cheap enough that we can justify the trip. We know that everything won’t be fully decorated but this is the only weekend with super cheap flights and that we can get off from work. We aren’t interested in meeting characters or stage shows and are debating between a 1 day park hopper on a magic kingdom day party day starting at MK and hopping to Epcot when the party starts or 1 day at Epcot and buying a different day admission to the MK Christmas party. Epcot is our favorite park but I feel like MK will have the most Christmas like feeling. We will use our other days to see the decorations at the hotels and Disney Springs. My big question is will MK still feel Christmas like / be playing Christmas music outside of the Christmas party? If not we will definitely splurge on the Christmas party. I know the food and wine festival will still be happening at Epcot and am hoping that they will have few decorations up by that time. Any other recommendations for this Christmas fanatic? Does anyone know historically when Living with the land gets the Christmas overlay?

If the costs are similar enough, I’d choose 1 day non-hopper for EP and MVMCP for a different day. They never hold the MK parties on Sat. Not sure how many nights you’re doing over the weekend. I think Fri party with EP Sunday, or Sat EP with Sun party could work well.

MVMCP parade is terrific! And it goes on twice. The fireworks are amazing too. We like attending the stageshow at the last showing around midnight.

Epcot will still be holding holding Food & Wine, which is pretty cool but after Thanksgiving is when it changes over to Christmas/Holiday foodbooths and storytellers ‘around the world’. So if you’re looking for holiday spirit, The MK party cannot be beat. I think spreading your hours at the parks over 2 separate days will get alot more bang for your buck as well.
