First booking experience

After a lot of research (mostly on these forums!) we went ahead and made or first DVC purchase today! 5 minutes after getting my member ID I was on the phone trying to make reservations for trips we already had in mind for March and Sept. (I know short notice on March!) Unfortunately, even with the first booking inventory bonus we were not able to stay at our home resort of BLT (either a studio or 1br for March)...tough break, but what can you expect on short notice Good news was 1BR BLT was good for Sept!

Then....a moment of panic set in! Having not anticipated zero availability in BLT for March I ended up booking a 1BR at BWV even though the pts really don't fit into my travel plan for the next few years. But, the way i figure it we can always think it over and adjust down to a studio there or somewhere else in the morning.

I did want to say not knowing exactly what to expecting talking to the reservations folks for the first time was awesome! The CM I dealt with made moving through everything very easy! If that's what I have to look forward to when I call in, then regardless of the room we end up with the decision to buy into DVC was a good one

Yea!! Member services is great...I love calling there and the first few months after we bought in I called almost every day for something!!

If you really want to adjust your points down for the March trip why not try for OKW unless you got a standard view at BWV and then the points will be almost the same anyway. Hope you have a great trip no matter where you end up.
