Ok, I'll continue:
After Downtown Dis we heading back to the fort, I just love driving back in there. We did some more swimming (for the kids sake) and decided to do another pizza for dinner. It's just such an easy meal on your last day, barely any leftovers and not much to clean. I believe this is the night we went back to the beach for another fire works show (am getting older, can't remember much
). The kids played T ball with a bunch of other kids while DW and I watched the show. We just tried to take in the magic as much as possible since we were only 13 hours away from the drive home.
Heading back to camper and while kids went to sleep we slowly packed up a few things. Next morning was Sunday, our last few hours. Got some coffee for DW and me at the meadows then went back to camper for breakfast. After that is was pack up time. Just as Wife and I had the Add-a-room off Kenny called for the cart return. The girls went to drop it off while I finished packing up camper....Wait, how did this happen again?!? I set up by myself cause of Kenny and now am taking down camper. It was so hot, I mean like barely breathing hot. Only had to crank down the camper at this point so I jumped in the shower. I lost track of time and the little old man that cleans the site keeps circling. I thought check out was noon...nope 11am. Finally finish at 11:15 and drive off to meet girls at front office.
Pick them up and there is a family in a minivan saying goodbye to there friends/family in THE MIDDLE OF THE FREAKING ROAD. Now they are blocking, us, 3 cars, a Class A and TT. I tell ya, the nerve of some people. Needless to say the horns starting chiming in.
The two day trip back went good except for DD7 getting swimmer ear. Just long since nothing to look fwd to except going back to work.
Anyway, here are some random shots since we really didn't want to take pics as we were packing up, to depressing!

Well, I think Ill sum up this TR with some of mine (our) Fort issues.
We have the refillable mugs but the only place to get soft drinks is at TE and only cart parking. Now we had a cart but it was a real pain to take the cart to get drinks, come back to the site, jump in car and leave to one of the parks. The meadows with its 15 min parking should have drinks too (besides coffee and walking to the pool IF it's open, see below.
The little speakers that are next to some of the trails could be turned up a bit. I really like the atmosphere of the Fort, and this only adds to it. About 20% of them work anyway. (Not scientific research)
We went to beaches and cream one day. The beach club really made sure you stayed there to use their pool (wristbands and such). Back at the fort we saw numerous people transfer busses at the outpost and get off at the 1500 loop to use 'our' pool.
Speaking of the pool, what is up with the snack bar closing at 5. Would be nice to get an after dinner snack there while swimming (no, not IN the pool) or refill drinks.
