First Alaskan trip, questions about excursions, Palo, and luggage storage

My DH and I will be going on our first Disney Cruise to Alaska and I have some questions:

1. In regard to Palo, I dined there one time way back in 1999. I recall the food being very similar to the quality as served in the sit down dining areas, and have chosen to bypass this since. However, being alone with DH for the first time, I wanted to do something "adults only" and booked for our upcoming trip. I'm interested to know if recent diners feel Palo is "worth it" in comparison to the general dining areas (wine and food quality). In addition, do you pay separately for wine at Palo or is this covered by the additional reservation fee?

2. Has anyone who has cruised previously gone on the Salmon fishing excursion in Juneau? I read something about how they will prepare your salmon and ship it home for an additional fee, and would like some more information on this excursion (pricing on treatment of fish caught and shipping, whether the charter produces fish, what time of year did you fish, etc).

3. We have a 15 hour wait until our flight heading home takes off from Vancouver. We are interested in sight seeing, however we are not sure what to do with our luggage. Does anyone know if its possible to check bags at the cruise terminal for a few hours after your cruise has ended?

Any info you can provide would be helpful. Thanks

Hi we just returned from the May 25 members cruise, and I would highly recommend Palo. The food is amazing, and the service is outstanding. We did both the brunch and a dinner on our recent cruise. the food at both were exceptional, and i find it hard to recommend one over the other. It would really depend on what experience you are looking for. Brunch allows you the opportunity to try a multitude of offerings..many different varieties in small tapas like portions so you can sample a large variety of both breakfast and lunch offerings...if you choose this one I would recommend doing it on your Tracey Arm Day around 11 30, there are windows all around and theory of the outer deck so people can't "disturb" your view. I recommend trying the grape and gorgonzola pizza and the chicken parmesan , they are both unique.
Dinner is another dining experience, comfortable and elegant, and again many delicious choices. If you are looking for a more intimate experience choose a dinner reservation. All of the appetizers and entrees are excellent choices as are the pasta choices, but don't leave without trying the chocolate shuffle for dessert.
They serve a complimentary glass of champagne or mimosa at lunch, but all other alcohol is an additional charge.
One other tip is make sure you abide by the dress code, I saw them send 2 people back to their room that were wearing dress jeans at brunch.
Enjoy your cruise and enjoy Palo!!!!

One last tip...ask for Sasha as your server...he is the best!!! tell him Nancy and Mike say hi :-)
