I am so excited, and feeling so guilty, but so excited.....only 16 more days until my first adults only trip to DL/DCA. Bad mommy; I know. DH and I are heading to So Cal Memorial Day weekend to see a live taping of Tosh.0. Since we will be in the area I of course had to take a peek to see how much 1 day tickets would be and to my suprise found that day was the 24 hour event. How perfect is that; so now we are planning on enjoying 24 hours (okay probbally more like 14-16 hours) of DL/DCA fun. My first trip without kids; DH's first trip ever! I can't talk about it or share it anywhere but here because we are not telling the kids; does'nt seem fair to tease them and they can't go to Tosh/have school. And yes I know the parks will be insanely crazy that day!

So mostly just wanted to share my excitment....also thou; any part of DL/DCA you got to enjoy on an adults trip that just would'nt of happened with kids in tow? We are going with no plan; just want to have fun, have a drink, people watch and check out some things I may have missed when catering to 3 kids all these years!!
:banana::hippie::cool1::yay::woohoo:

You sound like me! Last September my sister and I went to WDW by ourselves . I left my two kids at home (dd-11, ds-14) I made it up to them by promising DL this October . They have forgiven me and now we are busy planning our trip in October!

We are doing the same thing!! DH and I take an annual no kids trip to DLR every year. I feel guilty too. We don't tell the kids. We wanted to take advantage of the 24 hour event and wear costumes too! We don't have a plan either other than BB reservation at 5pm. Cannot wait!!

My best friend once took me to DL to celebrate my 38th birthday a couple of days early. I left my 3 year old daughter with her Daddy. Didn't tell her where we were going.

Of course, at that time we all had Southern California Select Annual Passes so I took my daughter, just the two of us, to Disneyland constantly. I think we went 12 times that year. So it's not like I was torturing her!

Love it!! Moms deserve a little fun right. Thanks for letting me share my excitement! Been driving DH crazy with my countdown; hope he loves DL as much as me & I'm not making a mistake taking him on such a crazy day. Lol!!!

I hope you have an awesome time! You should have seen it when I went with my best friend - two grown ups in the park meeting Mickey and neither one of us had a camera. We decided to make it silly by pretending we were Hollywood agents and trying to get him to dump his current representation and go with us. It was hysterical.

I have the luxury of doing Disney as a Single adult, so my one piece of advice is to set your own schedule. If you want to, Sleep into until 12 Noon even on the 24 hour day. My favorite thing was to sit at Jiko's Chef's Counter and watching them cook while enjoying my Birthday Dinner.

I'm going with my wife in a few weeks. We plan on taking in a nice dinner at Blue Bayou or Napa Rose. We are also going to enjoy a lot of the park entertainment (there should be a lot of options for that on your 24-hour day) and other attractions that the kids don't have the attention span for, like Mr. Lincoln, the Art Gallery, the Train Station, etc.

DH and I are planning our first trip for July following a coastal tour of California. We are in our 50's and I'm just as excited as a child. We are WDW vets and love to visit there. Looking forward to visiting where it all started!!
