FIRM Thread Oct 1-31st

Hi everyone!

I did my little 3 mile walk this morning, then came home and did Cathe's Pyramid Upper Body. I haven't lifted heavy consistently in nearly three months, and I've lost soooooooo much strength. I went form using 15/12 lbs. for biceps in the summer to 10/8 lbs. today. :mad: I know I'll get it back, it's just aggravating.

Norma, have you been singing The Pina Colada Song all afternoon?!! :banana:

S&k'smom--if you ever have any interest in Cathe's Kick Max, you can have my copy for no charge. I never clicked with that workout at all, and will just end up giving it to the library. Let me know if you ever want it. :)

Sorry I haven't checked in. For some reason all my joints have started hurting, so I am taking a break until they feel normal again. It's really weird started in my wrist and has spread to shoulder, knees, fingers, and ankles. I did this one other time and ended up getting a nasty flu. Maybe next week will be better. I did buy a box exercise kit by Cathe. Can't wait to try it! -Angie
 
Oy! I just was getting into the Pam hips and thighs tape when DD woke up. So I have been going up and down the stairs a lot at work to keep my butt going.
 
Today was the Upper/Lower body premix from Cathe's High Step Training. My heart just wasn't in the cardio so I decided just to do the weights. Can I just say that my arms and legs feel like Jello? :crazy: After that workout, typing on the computer is major exercise. :rotfl: Whew!

Good afternoon everyone!!! I finished that darned viper. All I want to know is why did she have to throw in segment 5 and 9 of Imax???? She just wanted to be difficult that's all. That was a great way to have a C+S day!!!!! I'm feeling good although those bicep curls were never ending. I must say she qalways cracks me up when she makes that sound dong those push-ups in Muscle Endurance. It makes me loose all concentration!

Hi everyone! This morning was Cardio and Weights. I was feeling weak this morning and really struggling with my usual weights. I don't like at the end of chest work, the next scene has the step removed and the mat out ready for abs. There is absolutely no transition time, so I always have to pause the tape while I get my mat set up. That's my small vent for the day. OK, I feel better. :sunny:
 
Wow you finished viper. I'm so proud of you. Today I got in taebo cardio I which is a good 35 minute workout. After working this week I'm exhausted but at least I got the cardio in.

I walked/jogged my three miles today--I'm feeling pretty good, so I'm slowly going to start upping the intensity. I went for kidney function tests this past Wednesday, so I should know within a week if things are working properly and I'm able to go all out. I'd really like to start running, at least a few times a week--you get such a big calorie burn, it's great for toning the legs, and runners just look so cool. :cool1:

Step Blast for me this morning. I keep telling myself I need an easy day, then I get up in the morning and reach for a Cathe tape.

S&K's mom, yes I finished it. My chest muscles hurt a whole bunch right now and so do my hamstrings, but it was so worth it!

Hello Kim. Keep taking it easy and don't do too much to soon. We don't want to see anything happen to ya!

I did the crostrain kick boxing again today. I like it, just wish the intensity was great. However, it did help me make my half way point on the exercise challenge. I think that this month will be the first time that I exceed 1300 minutes!

I slept until almost 7am this morning, I haven't done that in years. I don't think I realized how stressed I was over working again. But it felt good plus it's still raining here so not much else to do!!!!
 
I did Total Muscle Shaping this morning. I knew my body couldn't handle Cathe today, but I didn't want to take a rest day yet. Maybe tomorrow will be a rest day . . . . or maybe I'll go for a run.

Good morning all!!! I was terminating some serious calories this morning. I did the gauntlet workout from the terminator. I am pooped!! Dh can never understand how I can workout and then want to take a nap. However, right now if I was to lay down or sit to comfy, I'd be sleep!!!!!!!!!!! I think that this workout has to be my favorite! Don't call me crazy, but I love boot camp and Imax, so combining the two was so smart!!!!

O.k. I found this on Cathe's website and don't know if it's ever been posted here before. We have all started talking about which Cathe workout to do with the firm. NOw you can see what might be good to add in slowly if you aren't advanced and want to try Cathe.

Hey guys.

Well, I woke up with blood in my urine and pain in my kidneys again. My nephrologist is out of town, so I saw her PA this morning. I have some sort of antibiotic-resistant staph infection, and even though they treated me with a really potent drug, vancomycin, the infection has returned. I'm waiting for a phone call to see what step is next--I'm hoping for an oral Tx of some kind, but the PA said she can't rule out hospitalization. I am so friggin' sick and tired of this.

If I'm just on oral meds, I'll be around, but if you don't hear from me for a while, I may be in the hospital--grrrrrrrrrrr, no laptop!
