Good morning, and we begin August!

Today I got in about 30 mins of Taebo and DS woke up to come downstairs. Thankfully he is asleep on the couch right now. Poor guy was sick last night. So at least I got in a good sweat and feel like I worked out. Can't wait for the firm yoga dvd to come from netflix.
 
Hi everyone! :sunny:

I'm undergoing a new round of treatment for another ten days, and have an appt. with the Dr. on the 10th, so hopefully, I'll get the all-clear to get back into the game then. :) But in the meantime, I just had to post the following link. Cathe puts out a new rotation on her site each month, and I just couldn't believe this when I took a look:

Now, I consider myself an advanced exerciser, but I honestly don't think I could even come close to completing this rotation--it's like training for an Iron Man competition. I like her little comments, though: "Sunday--Stretch Max and Advil." :teeth: I know some YaYas are giving it a go, and I can't wait to see them post their thoughts--if they have enough strength to do so. WOWZER!

Hi my FIRMie friends,

I'm back from my trip from Disney. I got on the scale this morning and it read 150.9. I know I ate a lot, but geez I walked a lot too! I also took the stairs (on the 4th floor at POP Century) any time I could. Down to business again. I"m going to try to be good and go to WW's tonight and face the music. I know it didn't help that I went to Vegas right before going to Florida, but I have some work ahead of me. I'm sure the majority is water and will probably woosh off if I am good for the next few weeks.

Disney was wonderful. We had great weather. It only rained a few times and the worst was the last evening in the park and it didn't affect us much. We got lucky to be at the right place at the right time during rain and most days were completely rain free but VERY hot!

We also got to se the space shuttle take off from Titusville last Tuesday. It was so totally awesome and sits right up there with the birth of my children and finishing the Disney 1/2 marathon.

My foot did wonderful on the trip and the only time it bothered me when I was jumping on it without proper shoes in a game in Innoventions in EPCOT. My appointment with the Orthopedic Dr. is on 8/11/05.

I can't wait to get back into the groove and getting exercising again.

S&K's mom- I hope your DS gets better soon. Poor guy!

Kimmie- YOWZA- that sounds like a really tough rotation. I hope your treatments go well.
 
Kim :earseek: :eek: :crazy2: :faint: Has she lost her mind :confused3 I can't tell ya the last time I ran, plus all that. That is not a plateau breaking workout, that's a kill yourself workout. I hope you feel better dear, but even if you did, would you attempt all that???

I did pymarid lower body, Crunch burn pilates and Abs this morning. However after reading about that 200 jumping jack, might attempt that too!!! I haven't worked out this much in one day in a long while :teeth:

No way would I give this rotation a try, Sheree', even if I were 200%! :faint: I know there are some really superfit people who could handle this, but even for me (and I think I'm in pretty good shape cardiovascularly and strength-wise), this is just asking for an injury or severe overtraining. And talk about dread factor after a while. I also can't run five miles in one shot. I can't imagine someone not seasoned to running even attempting this--how sore and stressed is your lower body going to be?! Or how about a Cathe/exercise newbie who doesn't know about modifications and thinks they have to go full throttle to get all the benefits?? :scared:

I honestly think she went way overboard on this one, but I can't wait to hear all about it from the women who actually do it! :worship:
 
Welcome back Mel. Glad you had a good trip. Don't worry about the gain from your trip. I've decided the only reason I should diet is so I can go to WDW. DH brought up the subject yesterday and we are planning 10/06. So now I'm officially in training to eat my way through the 4 theme parks.
 
Hi all! This morning was Super Cardio Sculpt. I needed something easy after yesterday.

Mel, welcome back!! Glad you were able to enjoy your trip without foot problems.

EGAD, I'm exhausted just reading Cathe's rotation. I can't imagine doing it. :faint: I agree with Kim, unless you're a serious athlete, this rotation could easily lead to injury or overtraining. My knees would be screaming at me if I tried anything this intense.

I did Cardio Sculpt with Kim's favorite (Ms. Allie) and that completed my week
2 of my 6 week exercise challenge. I am 8/8 in Firming 4x weekly and have
my 2nd weigh in Friday.

Today I got in Taebo strength. I'm hoping the firm yoga tape comes tomorrow but I still have a few days left on the taebo tapes before I send them back to Netflix. I'll be in New Hampshire all day today so I'll see you guys tomorrow.
 
good aftrenoon ladies

I got in another crunch pilates today. DD wanted to exercise with me and loves pilates. I think I'm starting her off way to young (she's 6!) Boy did I break out a sweat and my abs hurt!

After getting in Total Muscle Shaping, Fat Blasting Cardio and Complete Body Sculpting on Friday, Saturday and Sunday ... I took yesterday off :) Actually, I didn't take it completely off ... it was golf-league day. So I walked 9 holes of Golf.

Today is my oldest son's birthday ... he's 9. I'll be leaving work early to get in a good sweat with Total Muscle Shaping and then it's off to the restaurant of birthday boy's choice tonight.

Poohsmum, my DS is 9 this week too!

Today was Taebo Power. I know Billy Blanks is no Allie Del Rio but I just love him. I'm sending back another netflix today so hopefully I'll get the Janet Brooks firm tape by Friday.
 
I actually managed to get in Hips, Thighs and Abs before work this morning. Our boys have their over-night at camp tonight with a show for the Parents at 7:00 ... not enough time for me to get in a workout after work, get cleaned up and get to the show.

S&K'sMom ... this seems to be a rather popular week for b-days ... my BIL's b-day is the 1st, I've got 2 friends from HS that both have babies born on the 1st (one just this year and one last year), my DS is the 2nd as is a Cousin's DD ... and now your DS too :banana:
 
Good morning FIRMies!

Sorry it's been awhile. :( I've been struggling for awhile, but I am back and ready to go! :moped: Well, sort of... :blush: As we were leaving my MIL's last night, I stepped on the dog's bone and twisted my ankle. :( It's sore and a bit swollen so I have to take it easy for awhile. Since I am turning the big 3-0 this year, I've decided to do a 30 day exercise challenge starting on August 21st and ending on September 19th. (My birthday.) So, I need to make sure that this ankle is good and healed by then. :goodvibes

Yesterday, I did 45 minutes of weights/cardio.

Today I did Crunch TaeBo and Day 1 of FIRM 5 Day Abs.

Kim~ I hope you start feeling better soon! :hug: And that Cathe rotation? Yikes!!! :earseek:

Melanie~ Glad to hear you had a great time in Florida! :banana: That is so cool that you got to see the space shuttle liftoff! ::yes::

Good morning, took today as my rest day as we are having family over tonight for cake and ice cream for DS's birthday so I'm trying to make the sauce and at least make the house look uncluttered. Man do my kids have a lot of "stuff"!
 
Yesterday was a rest day. I knew I would need lots of energy for IMAX2 today. That is one tough workout!!
