Firm Check in Week 19

Good afternoon everyone!

This morning I did super body sculpt (upper and lower). Yesterday I did cardio sculpt blaster and DH and I took a 30 minute walk.

Octoberbride - nice to have you posting with us again!

s&k'smom - that work out sounds tough! Good job! We look forward to your next post.

Sheree - that's why I get up at 5:30 in the morning to work out. I gotta get it in before work because it keeps me pumped all day! Good job in getting up early to get that work out in.

Tracy - great job with your work outs! Keep it up!

preshi - I have noticed that in some of the older tapes I have, Lisa Kay in particular looks kinda thick and so does Stephanie but in the later videos they look more feminine. I am going for a body shape like those two women because I think they look so good. Now Nancy Tucker on the other is a different story! That's why we call her Nancy (needs to eat a burger) Tucker :)

gadizlover - I agree with you that Jen is very muscular. She is actually my least favorite instructor. I try to avoid doing body sculpt with her, I much prefer super body sculpt with Stephanie. It sounds like you are doing well. I'm sure you'll see the results you are looking for you if you are consistent. Keep up the great work!

sueg - I love cardio sculpt blaster. I did that one yesterday. I'm even not dreading the part in the middle where you do the squats and taps. Boy, those are hard to me but not as hard as they used to be. I hope your quest for calorie killer is successful!

Hi preshi! Don't worry about getting too bulky with The FIRM! Those instructors not only have been working out for a loooong time, but many also incorporate heavy weight training into their routines. If you want to look toned and get sculpted, keep your weights light and reps high. Low reps and high poundage will build muscle. Good luck with your fitness goals!:)

Hi Tracy! During Jen's Body Sculpt, did you swear at her when she said, "Now we're going to do ANOTHER set of leg presses!"? I always did!:mad: No one in their right mind is happy doing that many leg presses. Keep up your great work, you living doll!:cutie:

My WISH Sis! You keep zoomin' right along, don'tcha babe?! It must have been nice to get out for a walk with dh--and Cardio Sculpt Blaster on top of that! Did you ever think you'd be able to work out as hard as you do?! You must look sooooo FAN-TAB-U-LOUS! Lotsa love & hugs to you! P.S. You still need to get MCB + ABS! :teeth:

Guess what I did this morning?! I bought a set of 20 pound dumbells! I was finding that my 15's were getting a little light for some upper body exercises (lats, overhead extensions), so I got to finally move up to 20's! Now, here's a little motivation for some who may think they need it: When I started serioulsly FIRMing in May '03, I used only 3 & 5's--and the 5's very sparingly. So, in a little over a year, the exercises for which I once used 5's, I'm now using 20's. That is how far you can go in a year with consistent, challenging exercise. Granted I have been doing some seriously heavy lifting in the last three months with Cathe (muscle building is one of my goals), but I never would've been ready for her without getting a good, solid foundation with The FIRM! You may not have the same goals as I when it comes to strength training, but you can take the advances I made in a year and apply them to nearly any other fitness goals you may have! And as I've said before, this is all coming from someone who as a beginner couldn't even "follow Libby." FIRMies, don't ever let yourself get discouraged and wonder if you'll ever achieve your goals! YOU CAN DO IT--YOU CAN DO ANYTHING!!!:cheer2:

Today is an off-day. Much needed, but I'm gearing up for three long tapes over the three day weekend: CA&WT, Cardio Sculpt and my newest acquisition, Total Body Shaping Mix (can't wait to bunny hop again!).
I ordered the BSS3 all on one DVD from firmdirect. About $24, with my discount and after shipping & TAX. Hope it gets here before our Aug. vacation. But the firmbeliever site has a get section on keeping fit during vacation. It gave instructions & visuals on a routine that you can do using only one set of medium weights. Perfect for travelling. I printed it and put it with the "college visit materials" and the WDW calendar.

Good afternoon everyone. I just wanted to check in. I did complete aerobics and weight training this morning. What a loooooong workout::yes:: Nevertheless, I do feel good, ready to face the rest of the day.

Good evening guys!

This morning I did super cardio sculpt. I was going to calorie killer but DH was still sleeping and CK is on VHS and our VCR is in the bedroom so it was super cardio sculpt.

I watched part of the Firm infomercial (it's usually on the Lifetime channel early Saturday mornings) and it got me so pumped. I kept thinking, yes, it works, it really works! I wanna be in a Firm infomercial! Anyway, thanks to the proddings of a certain WISH-sis that will remain nameless Kim I am thinking about buying MCB+abs. It looks like a great work out. I don't have the sculpting stick yet but I'm thinking about it because if I buy MCB then I'll have two work outs that need the stick.

I'll keep you all posted.

I did exercise today. DH had to work, so me and the kids are going at it alone. Oh well. I did Cardio Sculpt Blaster with Lisa Kay today.

Yesterday was a rest day- Sunday did Cardio Sculpt with Allie. I used 3 lb weights for all the upper body exercises. I tried to find 5 lbs weights this week end- but everyone only had 3 or 8-strange!
