Firm Check In Week 10

HI FIRMies!!!

Just popping in early (!@#$%&!-ing insomnia:mad: ) before my workout to give you all BIG HELLOS AND HUGS!!! I haven't posted in a long time, but always check on my FIRM Buddies and have to tell you all how thrilled I am for all of you!!! Everyone is doing SUCH AN AWESOME JOB on their workout committments!:cheer2: (I cannot get enough of these new smilies--somebody stop me)!

Mel--Hey Girl! You are still such the dedicated FIRMie, and I'm so proud of you for continuing to inspire everyone with your dedication and knowledge! Hw is your BSS3 working out?! I've read on the Ya Yas that some people are having problems with the new box? I hope everything's going well for you and that you're JAMMIN' with your new #3's!!! I was thinking of getting Power Yoga as a good off day stretch--I'd love to have such a well-respected opinion such as yours if you have it! Keep up all your great work, Melanie, and a BIG CONGRATULATIONS on all your continued successes!:hug:

HI s&k'smom! Although I'm a vegetarian:rolleyes: may I please join you and Nancy on Burger Night?! That woman amazes me--she has no body fat!!! You deserve a BIG WOO HOO for keeping up with your workouts with your wee ones to look after! It's certainly not easy, is it?!;) I'm glad that the weather's nicer and that you can get out more--the smell of spring (mmmmm, my gardenias are starting to bloom!) can sure be a spirit-lifter! You KEEP ON TRUCKIN'! :moped:

HI Tracy!!! CAWT is one of my favorite workouts (FIRM or others) of all time!!! I'm so glad I'm not the only one who looks forward to the ab section for reasons other than it being a great core workout! You are doing such an AMAZING JOB, Woman, and I'm so happy for you! As I've said before, CAWT is just one of the best workout vids EVER! It's one I do whenever I'm not in the mood to exercise--besides it being really kick-butt, it just has that Fun Factor for me! Oh Lisa! My WISH SIS! What can I possibly say that I haven't said before? You are beyond inspirational--to me and all those around you! I couldn't be more happy for, or proud of you! Everytime I read one of your posts, I feel as if I'm reliving all the wonderful highs of my transformation all over again! I know how hard it is. But I also know that you have what it takes to ACHIEVE ANY GOAL YOU MAY HAVE, even aside from weight loss and fitness. You have emotional and physical strength, strong character, kindness, and a work ethic that can't be matched. You are the WORLD'S BIGGEST WINNER, and I'm so fortunate to call you my friend! I'm doing very, very well, my FIRM Friends! I've started a heavy weightlifting rotation (well, heavy for me!), and I've also taken up kickboxing! I RULE!!!:cool3: And for those who belong to the I HATE HOVER SQUATS CLUB, I report that I'm now using a 40 pound barbell with them---BUT I STILL HATE THEM!!!:mad: The one lower body tape I do does 104 leg presses in a row, and I'm now up to 40 pounds with those, too (although my legs are completely FRIED after it's over--I tend to have delusions of grandeur when it comes to THINKING what I can do as compared to what I actually CAN do)! I'm doing mostly Cathe Friedrich tapes now, but did MCB yesterday for my Allie-Fix, being a charter member of the I LOVE ALLIE Fan Club.:cheer2: I'll never give up my MCB or CAWT!

I'm so glad to find you all so well and happy! I'm off to workout for the day--it'll be Kick, Punch & Crunch kickboxing for me!

Well this am I started the new tape with Emily W. and I really like her voice got about 30 mins into it when DD decided to make an appearance. And I really wanted to work out this am as I was in the Tag swap and started in on the chocolates that came! Oh well will give it another try tomorrow.

The weather is fabulous today and supposed to be over the weekend so we should get some walking in but as long as we are outside. Have a fantastic weekend everyone.

Oh and I am so joining the I hate Hover Squats Club.
 
Hey FIRMies....

I did Calorie Killer 2 today. I got traded in my 4lb medicine ball yesterday for a 2lb one that is actually got some give to it (squishier) and I am so much happier. I swear I thought I was going to shove the 4lb one through the TV because it was so heavy and the ball is was so hard. I just felt like it was too heavy to be doing fast aerobics with. This one allowed me to keep my movements faster and keep my heart rate up instead of concentrating on holding the 4lb ball or being worried that my forward momentum was going to force it into the TV.

KIMMIE- OMG a 40lb dumbell!!!!! You so rule. I bow down before you!:worship: Me, I am still happily moving along with my FIRM that I so love! I moved up to a 12lb dumbell for a few exercises, its so funny how they seem so heavy when you get a new dumbell and how my 8lbs feel SOOO LIGHT now! Glad you stopped in to say Hi! I really miss your daily posts!! By the way.......am I the only one that LOVES Hoover Squats???

S&K's mom- Sorry to hear you couldn't finish Emily's CAWT, but luckily there is always tomorrow.

Another week about done for me. Amazing, I can't believe it goes by so quick.

Anyhow, i just finished 15 mins of CS & Upper Body part of BS. And while i did both I paid attention to how far I've advanced, and judged how much further i can go. And I've come farther than I thought. I'm excited to be buying my 5lb weights this weekend, cause I am definitely sure that i will use them for more than the floor work on the Upper Body workout.

Thanx for the pyramiding advice, I will keep it in mind when i use my new weights on Monday and pyramid down if i feel the need to. It may help give me the boost i need.

Also on Monday I am going to attempt to complete the entire Lower Body part of BS. I already know I'll need a break after 12 minutes or so. So I will take a short break and then do my best to complete the rest of it. I may take a 2nd break between that and Upper Body. Not sure yet. If it works out, I may take the same approach with the CS tape, to see how far i can go with it.

So Monday will be a big day for me workout wise. And Monday is also official measurement day. I'm not expecting any big changes from last month as i think i've leveled off a bit, but we'll see.

TY all for the encouragement with my 100 day challenge. I see no munchy jones in the near future so I should finish it tomorrow with no problems. I just wish i'd written down the date i started so i knew how long it took. I'll remember to do that for my next challenge.

I may still do my AS tonight b4 bed, since i took a rest day yesterday. Not sure yet. But i hope everybody has a great weekend.

Hi FIRMies

WOW you guys are all doing so well!! The last 2 weeks have been very hectic at work and at home with DD having volleyball camp 3x a week in addition to getting ready for her dance recital in 3 weeks. I have not been FIRMing as much as I'd like :( but I did get in Super Body Sculpt Upper Body both today and Wed. and I have been making sure to keep up with my treadmill training at least 3x a week. Tomorrow morning I am really hoping to get in CA&WT with Emily before we go away for the weekend! We are going to an indoor waterpark resort in the WI Dells so I am sure I will be climbing alot of stairs for the waterslides!

Keep up the great work everyone! You are all still inspiring me to get in even just a little FIRMing whenever I can. The old me would have taken the easy way out and said I just don't have the time, but now I'll do at least part of a tape if I only have a little time.

Well I did it, I got in CA&WT like I was hoping too! I was a bit uncoordinated again because I haven't done this tape in 2-3 weeks but I did the best I could.
